Given a majority of Americans are one pay cheque away from being forced onto the streets, that isn't actually that much money. It's also why the Powerball is so popular, since lotteries prey on the poor and desperate.

$35CAD buy in (minimum of 10 - $2USD Powerball tickets plus approximately $5CAD to cover fuel and a rental car)
25 participants at a minimum (I'll buy additional tickets as more people get involved and my costs get distribute more as I'm not trying to make money off any one)
Email Money Transfers would have to be submitted by Tuesday evening (midnight)
I'll drive down Wednesday morning and email copies of the tickets once I have them
Jackpot or any winnings over $10,000 will be redeemed and distributed evenly
Any winnings under $10,000 will be redeemed for additional Powerball tickets for a future draw
What do you guys think? Any takers?

That is such a BS quote. The headline that stated that was just clickbait. The article didn't say anything of the sort.
Sorry, not ragging on you, it was just that that particular article got so much attention despite the fact that the claim was completely baseless.

If average American has $4 million cash in their bank, there will be so much USD out there that the greenbacks are essentially worthless.

Yeah, I don't play the lottery anyway but I think winning a billion dollars would be more of a curse than a benefit. You would have to hire security to keep the crazies and con men away, it would pretty well make normal friendships impossible, you'd have a full-time job just taking care of your money and possessions, and so on.
Although on the plus side I could afford to crush the dreams of anyone who has ever wronged me. There's that.

Looks like the list is around 13 right now. If a few more folks are willing to commit I'll commit to doing the drive and will send out my email for payments.

I'm assuming that it shouldn't be a problem bringing a Powerball ticket back to the USA because it is for a lottery conducted in the US.
