Default Sharks beat Flames 5-4

If we are not a playoff team this year, but continue to play like this game, i'm all up for it.

Hard to get into the playoffs when we can't beat teams in our own division. Sigh

Frustrating loss. The divisional record is sinking the Flames fast as it's going to be tough to make the playoffs with losing records against the teams you are chasing. Created lots of chances but also made some sloppy mistakes that ended up in the back of the net.

Some positives though in that Ferland looked pretty good on the first line and Monahan, Bennett, and Ferland all broke out of scoring slumps.

Didn't know someone could get dummied by Vlasic. Didn't think he was a fighter.

Positive:

Not so positive:

And no, Ramo is not at fault what so ever despite many feeling he should be stopping redirections or Ovechkin like cross ice PP one timers.

Games like that annoy me when you score enough to win but lose. Like that Panthers game last year 6-5, and like this. Dumb *** turnovers cost us. Gifted the Sharks goals, and we piss another important divisional game away. argh.

I put that loss on Backlund. Giveaway in the 1st and stupid penalty in the 3rd were key moments.

4 goals isn't a bad effort. But a few bad bounces the other way, and some brutal turnovers ended up costing it.

Positive note: Ferland. Keep him on that line.

Two key factors beat the Flames tonight. A lot of bad luck and Michael Backlund. You can't do anything about the luck but Backlund is a flaming bag of dog poo. I think some apologies are in due to WhereareyouChrisOsullivan or whatever the hell that posters name was because he was pretty spot on.

Sigh... Flames are now 2-4 in their last 6, and all four losses have been to the Pac Division. Now really behind.

Very disheartening to see the Flames flounder two very important games against teams they are fighting for a playoff spot with.

Things could have been looking very different.

Jones was the difference tonight. He made several big saves while Ramo didn't.

Yay Vlasics real tough picking a fight with a 19 year old kid.

28 year old essentially jumped him if you watch the replay.
