You'll live to regret that comment. Especially the nerf herder part.

You will rue the day you ever decided to go against a Sicilian when death was on the line.

At this time only HalifaxDrunk and GP_Matt can post in this thread. I will set up a quicktopic for the rest of the players.

You can bet 1, 2 or 3 Gaudreaus on who the winner will be. Deadline is Wedneday at 7pm.

The eighth death match is

INDIAN HOLD'EM

Indian Hold'em is played the same way as Indian Poker from Death Match #5.

However Indian Hold'em has two cards that are shared with both players. If your card and these community cards form a special hand the player with the higher ranked hand will win.

Indian Hold'em will be played with 4 sets of cards from 1 to 10 for a total of 40 cards. Once all 40 cards are used, we will use 40 new cards. The dealer will shuffle the 40 cards and place a card face down in front of both players (meaning I will PM you your opponents card). Players will hold it up against their forehead for the other player to see.

After seeing your opponents card, players will ante 1 chip. Antes will increase after 10 hands. The player without the button will post a 2 chip blind, the button will post a 1 chip blind (blinds will also go up after 10 hands). The button can then call, raise or fold. There is no limit.

If neither player folded in the first round of betting, the dealer will flip two cards. There will be final round of betting with the non-button player starting.

I'm sure you both know how to play poker and understand call, raise and fold

The hand orders are as follows.
1. 3 of a kind
2. straight
3. pair
4. high card

If the both players have the same hand, the pot is chopped.
If at showdown a player folds a straight or 3 of a kind, they must give 10 chips to the opponent as penalty.

Both players will start with 30 chips, GP_Matt having more Gaudreaus will get 4 additional chips, HalifaxDrunk will be the button first.

I hope this game flows well. I will PM both of you your opponents card. Then I will say GP_Matt/HalifaxDrunk call, raise or fold? and then you guys take over from there without my intervention. Once there is a call I will reveal the community cards. Bet again and once there is a call I will reveal both players cards.

Folded hands before showdown will NOT be revealed unless it is a staight or 3 of a kind

If you have any questions ask here.

Can you re-raise if your opponent raises your raise or is it one round of betting per round?

No limit. The betting round only ends with a call or fold

I will take this time to allow Matt to gracefully bow out. It is the gentleman's thing to do. Thanks for playing Matt!

That is very noble of you and I humbly accep
Wait a minute, that was a trick and I will not fall for it.

I am going to win through the strength of my incredible poker face. While looking at my forehead to see what my card is you will get absolutely nothing from my face. Or maybe something that is inaccurate or maybe accurate. You will never know. Well, I suppose you will know when the game is over and you are languishing in defeat trying to determine where you went wrong. Upon reflection, your game will go downhill when you call my bet in the third hand.

Is the raising similar to no limit poker where you have to raise at least the previous bet?
i.e.
A bets 2
B raises to 6
A can either fold, call the bet of 6 (4 more chips), raise to a minimum of 10 (raise must be at least the previous bet/raise), or go all in.

In no limit poker, after the raise to 6 by B, A could just raise it to 7 (one more chip), unless B was all in.
