Default Ten X Nightclub Shooting

Was anyone there for this?

http://globalnews.ca/news/2444826/th...n-x-nightclub/

Quote:
At around 1:30 a.m., three men pulled up in front of the nightclub. Two waited in the car, while the other walked up to the front door and fired several shots inside, when one victim was shot, police said.

“One of our other staff (was) there and started to apply pressure right away to him. So for 10 seconds, he was unattended before one of our guys was on him trying to help,” said Wallace. “I watched people get glass showered over them. If I was doing a pat down at the time, I would have been in this guy’s line of fire and I could’ve been shot.”

Witnesses said the shooter was jumped by staff right away, with the loaded gun still in his hands.
I didn't even know there was a club called "Ten X" or "Ten" or whatever it's supposed to be. What's the crowd like? Is this a surprising development or pretty much what you'd expect?

I think it's a LBGTQ club, although I think more G than anything. That could be incorrect though.

LOL that's pretty incorrect (unless they put on those shows, I don't know about). It's a dance club with weekly DJ's from around the world. I would occasionally go there, but you can bet me and my buddies won't be going there anymore. It's was always a sketchy place and I've heard from some of the doormen's mouths that it's a gang hangout and they have specific ''rules'' on how to deal with those guys (aka let them be). Everytime I've been there the gang unit is there, so good thing they were around when this all went down.

And events like this are why criminals who do things like this should be locked up for a long time. What a POS those people are to do something like this. But I bet they don't even see longer then a year or 2 in prison. Walk into a venue and start shooting at people? That should be a life sentence. But they won't even get close to that.

What is going on with this city and gun crimes.

I think we had 80 violent gun related crimes last year.

My assumption would be that the increase in fentanyl + gang wars are bringing more guns to the city

What's odd to me is I heard about this on the radio today and yesterday a whole bunch of times but it was never mentioned what the bar was called. I wondered why. . .

I've been there a few times in the last year or two for some shows, and didn't notice any specific gang influence or heatbags in there, compared to some other places around town. As mentioned above, it's primarily a dance club with DJ's. I know the place re-branded from what it was many years back...the crowd when I was there certainly wasn't as sketch as some of you remember. It was mostly chill raver kids having a good time.

Certainly won't be going back there any more though.

Good on the bouncers for tackling the guy right away while he was still armed.

Must have change then. I remember picking up my girlfriend from there about 4 years ago and the scene was definitely geared towards the LGBTQ crowd. Must have been a one-off night or the bar switched to a wider audience.

More relevant though, it sounds like what Sociale eventually became - a seedy, gangbanger club.

Does he pull something out of his jacket?
Those two people in the door not being killed is amazing.
Person standing there texting who gets hit by the car door as it creeps forward (looks like a girl with pony tail or bun)

It used to be an LGBT bar, but changed a few years ago to become Ten.

That guy in the white is some dumbass. Gets out of the car and just stands around until the cops come and arrest him. Wow.

I don't understand how they are looking for a third suspect. They got the shooter, driver, and dumbass white jacket guy. Did they let one of them go?

The actions of the white jacket guy are so confusing, it almost made me doubt that he was an accomplice to a serious crime. What a maroon.

Kinda wonder if the driver is telling the guy to get the **** out and help the shooter get away?He just seems so clueless.

Think the texter is just wearing a tuque.
