There's no room for personal, off ice rumors on CP, never has been.
EDIT: Just noticed you've been here since 2002? Wow, I was giving a free pass thinking you were new, but certainly you have to have noticed warnings/explanations on spreading personal rumors about players at least once in your time here?

Was anything I suggested he did illegal? I dunno I think people are over reacting here. Kind of like when Monahan and Gaudreau were out with "flu like symptoms" for the practice before a game and we're game time decisions the next day (they both played). But a picture had surfaced of them backstage at The Weeknd concert the night before being sick. Lots of hints and suggestions to what happened there as well. And again another situation where it doesn't take a lot of brain cells to connect the dots.

People were discussing wether it could be something more than injuries this season. I offered my two cents. I didn't derail the thread with some ludacris accusation. Nor did I present it as fact. I said where I heard it from and people could form their own opinions from there. I've since deleted it since so many people seemed to of taken offence.

So we have people on here that were nailing Kane to the wall saying he was a Rapist when there was no proof and they got away with it. People spread rumors about E Kane to earlier and his lifestyle and that's okay. Now two people say Hudlers flu might be more than just a flu and everyone's down his throat. Give me a break.

There was a whole thread about it. Where all that speculation was drawn on without my involvement. I was simply comparing the two things. What I just said there was already said in that thread.

Almost certain it was in one of sureLoss practice notes threads and the heading should be about Monahan and Gaudreau being away from practice. I'll try and search but I'm on my iPhone. Should be able to find it that way though.

Looks more and more like Hudler is going to be a poor trading piece. I will assume he will be with the Flames until the end of the season. I also agree that he'll demand less in free agency than what he's actually worth.
But, as a 32 year old, the main question for resigning him will be term. The Johnny, Monahan, and Bennett contracts will be coming up. There are 3 significant long-term good contracts on D, and 3 more less good D contracts lasting another year. No NHL goalie beyond this year.
The Flames will be signing a good number of contracts in the next 2 years, and some of them significant. A player like Hudler has been invaluable to this team, but he won't be forever. Regardless of what he deserves, he can't hang around for more than he's making right now.
