Its really a shame the "Babcock for the Jack Adams" thread is closed after this debacle.

I think he just really really hates the leafs...probably due to having them forced on everyone for years on the hnic broadcasts. Its one of the reasons I hate them.

Babcock for coach of the year. Amazing he kept the score only 7-0 against the Sharks.

Pacific Division watch

The Coyotes have a 2-0 lead early in the third period. Vermette with a power play goal in the second period and then Hanzal scored 55 seconds into the third period.

It is scoreless in the Blues-Kings game after one period. Elliot is net and Allen did not dress for this game. Jordan Binnington is the back up goalie. http://www.nhl.com/ice/player.htm?id=8476412

The Lightning and Canucks are tied 1-1 early in the second period, Killorn and Baertschi are the goal scorers.

That was all Horvat on the goal. Sven had a tap in that a grandma could've scored on.

Kopitar scores midway through the second period, 1-0 Kings.

The Lightning and Canucks are still tied 1-1 after two periods.

The Coyotes win 4-0, Domingue with the shutout.

What the hell is with all the spearing in the NHL lately? I can't remember this happening at all before about 1-2 years ago. Jaskin just got Doughty. Such a stupid play. Should be suspendable, not just a fine (if that).

Arizona now six points up. I'm not sure the Flames will have enough this year unless something changes.

Sitting in a spot for a top 5 pick currently. Hopefully BT has been hard at work finding homes for Hudler, Russell, Wideman, etc. This feels like a 9-10 place finish this year.

with a game in hand

5 points out of a wildcard with 2 games in hand (Pacific teams are in the convo despite what you have heard)

1 point back of 3rd in the pacific

42 games left

and remember the first two months

don't throw in the towel just yet

Only ahead of Edmonton and Toronto by 3 and 1 points respectively and a small gap over Buffalo and Columbus.

A loss on Monday to SJ and Wednesday to FLA and the Flames could find themselves in 28th well back of a playoff spot.

Flames .500 in their last 10 doesn't help at all
