So that's how United are going to spend the money they receive from a big club for Martial...

Alright, a 1-0 first leg win against Stoke that cost us Coutinho and Lovren to hamstring injuries.

Things could get quite interesting the next few weeks. Toure apparently tweaked a hamstring in the final few minutes of the game today, and only stayed on because we had no subs left. Sakho finished the game against Sunderland after that horrendous tackle he took, but wasn't on the bench today and could potentially miss some time too.
Which leaves, 0 CBs..

Oh its going to get grim. No doubt about that.
It'll be interesting to see how Klopp reacts. I dont know how far away Sakho or Skrtel are or if he'll ask them to gut it out.

Hey Arsene,
Maybe it's time to open the vault at Gringots and spend a few quid on some players, ya?

Elneny is a quality buy IMO. Talented and surely Basels best player this season.

The injury news worsens for Liverpool, there is talk than Sanchez may make his return next Wednesday. At this point, do you think Klopp is going to set-up for a draw?

surely there must be something wrong at Liverpool?! I mean, every team has injuries, but come on ... this is getting ridiculous.

Yeah, this is definitely a 'wheres theres smoke theres fire' scenario.
All Hamstring injuries at the moment:
- Lovren
- Toure
- Coutinho
- Ibe
- Origi
- Skrtel
- Rossiter
- Sturridge
And then:
- Gomez - ACL
- Ings - ACL
- Sakho - Knee
- Henderson - Foot
Can we hire Eva Carneiro?

Liverpool are ripe for the taking tomorrow. I am not looking forward to that, but at the same time it might a patch-work squad and could make for an unorthodox but entertaining game.

^ I think the main thing for Liverpool is that it would be great if they could heal up and beat Arsenal next Wednesday.

It would suck as Leicester would leap over Arsenal after beating Spurs for the second time in a week.
While Arsenal are less Arsenal-like this year, I can see Klopp getting a surprise result if a very well organized XI manage to stun Arsenal.

Spurs have a bit of a decision to make here. Maybe Sunday both teams play a bunch of reserves? Then again there seems to be a lot of supporters who would rather play hard for the FA cup and rest guys for the PL fixture because chances of a BPL title are slimmer.
Early in the week I had hoped for a couple quick signings to add a striker in particular. Of course its early though and most places are going to hold out until the deadline to do anything.

Liverpool are calling back all their loans. Its going to get really young in a hurry around Anfield.

Today's Team Sheet:
Bogdan
Randall - Enrique - Smith - Ilori
Brannagan - Stewart - Kent - Texeira
Sinclair - Benteke
Subs: Fulton, Lallana, Lucas, Ojo, Maguire, Chirivella, Masterson
I havent heard of some of these people.
And Benteke with the armband.

Good enough to handle Exeter? This is the cool thing about FA Cup. A big club coming to play a club that is what 3-4 divisions below them? Pretty cool.

Should be interesting. Some of these guys have looked like they could potentially be good enough to make the first team eventually.
Illori was a very highly rated young player, but hasn't really made an impact on his loan spells due to injuries and a lack of progression. I hope he has a good game because he could be needed over the next few weeks.
Teixeira, Kent, and Ojo have looked good on their loan spells, and could be used in the coming weeks too. Especially Kent since we really have no wide players available, and he has the raw pace to be impactful.
