Sick of people blaming Scott. He was voted in as a joke, all he's doing is rolling with the punches

Disagree. Most would skip if given the choice. Which is why they have to now suspend players who decline.
Sure some of the first timers would be excited but I'd say more than half would rather get the vacation.

Hartley needs to get Joe off the first line ASAP. It's not working. Reminds me of Sutter's failed Jokinen/Iginla experiement from a few years back. Just give it up already. Get Bennett on that line.

I think Mason Raymond should get a shorter stick. He can jussssst reach the ice with the one he's using now.

To everyone that tries to say the all star game or being named matters, here is my counterpoint:
Sidney crosby
Game, set, match

Teams don't need to shutdown Gaudreau. Give Colborne the Selke.

Which is why Scott has no choice but to go (unless he somehow got permission which would then put the nhl in the position of saying the fan vote doesn't count).

The allstar draft matters. Why in the world did they cut that? Actually somewhat fun

Yes...they would skip the game, but being named an all-star is a badge of honor for players.

If the all star game was abolished no one would even notice.
Hardest shot comp is the only good part of the weekend.

No idea what this means.
Are you saying Crosby didn't want to be named an all-star?
