The Central absolutely dummies the Pacific in Corsi, but somehow, we keep it close. Gio gets the puck, passes to Gaudreau, who makes Weber look like a fool, passes to Scott, scores the GWG.

It's funny...if Gibson hadn't went on a bit of a run here to get his numbers to a strong place then Ramo would have likely been one of the two all-star goalies for the Pacific division.

Nice to see Schneider and Luongo both having great years and on the all-star team...Miller is not.

Scott or not, this is actually an All-star game I'm actually interested in watching. Yes the game has turned into a bit of a joke, but it should at least be entertaining.

3v3 is the perfect way to fix it. There was never going to be checking anyways, so no need for the other two players

John Scott should realize the error and let his rookie teammate, Max Domi, go to the game.

Shame that Arizona gets him as their only representation. (should probably be OEK over both Brodie or Giordano as well).

Domi will get many chances to go to an All Star game. Fan voting or not, this is the only time Scott will EVER get to go.

I'm kind of annoyed that Brodie didn't get picked since he's clearly our best defenceman and one of the best in the league. But then again, I was a supporter of Scott going so I can't really say anything. Good to see Johnny going again it what is hopefully an annual event for him.

There's no way the Flames get three reps. If you take Ramo, then you lose Gio - probably to Ekman-Larsson.

Yeah but it's a joke. not like "Ahh this allstar game is an effing joke!". Just that it is simply a joke played on the NHL by a bunch of fans. Would you want to be the butt of that joke?

Say you are the worst salesman in your company. You know it, everyone else knows it. So now they vote you to some Salesman All-Star event, it happens every year. And you are invited purely for the purpose of being laughed at. Do you want to go? Or say your company has a fitness competition, and you are the fattest person. They send you to the competition for something to laugh at. Do you still want to go?

If I was Scott, I would ask for the NHL to waive the skipping "punishment" so someone else could go. Heck, pay him the all-star bonus anyways.

Can't be too fussed about Gio versus Brodie. It's reputational, and Brodie will get his share. Hell, Stamkos is on there.
