Despite saying I would only want Iggy to score if we were safely ahead I actually got an unstoppable urge to see him score when he got close there.

I'm as into the Flames right now as I've ever been, and specifically right now am fully understanding how crucial points are in January and yet there I was instinctively cheering and getting an "ohh so close" gut wrench when he missed opportunities. It really shows what an impression he had on us that are in our late 20's/early thirties. What a treat we truly had being able to watch one of the best in the game for so many years.

A guaranteed 25+ goals no matter where he plays... A scoring right wing vet who is a leader with grit as well... A guy who produces on the powerplay... Lots of contenders would want him. For sure the salary cap might limit who could fit his contract though. Would love to bring him back to the flames. And not for nostalgia... For the simple reason that the flames could use everything he brings.

I've been a big fan of Hudler ever since we acquired him, and he really wowed me last year as a leader on the team.
