Paul Byron is a small replacement level forward! Flames are better off without him! /s

Flames should sit Colborne down and watch Gallagher highlights 24/7. What a player.

Yikes .. Gallagher was screaming like he was one of the unlucky ones on Omaha beach. That was odd.

Simple Plan? Really? Could they have found a band that appeals less to hockey fans if they tried?

I would take him over these guys any time:
Josh Jooris
Brandon Bollig
Mason Raymond

It was a mistake to waive him. No Question.

Its Boston, they're already drunk and Simple Plan was cheap.

I think maybe Simple Plan was pandering to the Canadian audience? Nickelback was obviously booked.

The only Flames players with more goals than Byron are Giordano, Monahan and Gaudreau...

The legend of Paul Byron grows.

By 2018 he'll be 6'4" and a 60 goal scorer.

In fairness, Byron's game is much more well-suited to the Eastern Conference.

But yeah, damn. We could have totally used him.

It was a direct result of the three-headed goalie monster. Having to keep the 3 of them forced them to waive Byron.

Ironically, the three-headed goalie monster, and the resulting slow start to the season, may also result in the Flames missing the playoffs and getting a lottery draft pick.

Which would be a great trade for Byron.

the ironing!

He was probably our 2nd most physical forward.

Also not sure I buy this anymore when 8 of the top 10 teams in hits are from the East. Only west Conf teams in there are Kings and Jets. Montreal is playing those highly physical teams a lot more than we are.

Hockey fans were going to tune in for the hockey regardless of which band they had perform. They're hoping to get a few non-hockey fans to tune in to see the band.
