Default Irony: Iginla Will have his shot at 600 vs. the Flames
The 'Lanche announcers made a point that Iginla was on the verge of the milestone goal in the pre-game of last night's 'Hawk game. He whizzed a couple of PP chances by, but, was held off the score sheet.

Still sitting at #599, the Flames are in Colorado tomorrow.

I can't imagine the torn emotions you Flame fans will be feeling each time he gets the puck.

Personally, over the years, for myself, once an admired player puts on another uni, I wish them well, but, H2H vs. a Chicago team, they remain the enemy. I'd be interested in Flame Follower opinions on Iggy vs. the Flames for 600.

Happy to see him get the milestone. Don't care if it comes against the Flames or not though would prefer it didn't as that would mean the Avs scored

It would be poetic if the Avalanche were in Calgary for Iginla to score his 600th. Either way - happy for Iginla for when he gets it, hopefully it doesn't happen tomorrow. Or if it does, it happens in a losing effort.

I wouldn't call it ironic but it is funny. I don't care if he gets it or not. It'd be somewhat cool if it was in the 'Dome but otherwise he's just another player to me at this point.

The way this season the Flames have been gracious to players that have been on slumps I wouldn't expect anything different than Iginla (not that he's slumping) getting his 600 against the Flames. I would rather he get it against another team but in the big picture I suppose it would kind of right in a full circle kind of way.

Congrats Iginla on reaching 600 on Saturday....too soon? But honestly i dont care about Iginla anymore. I wouldn't lose any sleep if he stayed at 599 for the rest of his career. Go Flames!

I'll be more happy when he scores it against a team that isn't the Flames than if he does against the Flames. I remember the first time Iggy visited the Dome, someone (Russell?) was boo'd for blocking Iggy's empty net chance. I really hope that doesn't happen again

It would be no more ironic for Iginla to score his 600th against Calgary than it would for him to score it against Florida, Anaheim or Montreal.

At best, it would merely be coincidence if he scores it against Calgary.

People have such short memories.

Iginla bled for this city, on and off the ice. He was a warrior and a franchise player, with great charisma to go along with it.

I hope he gets a hat-trick.

Iggy will always be one of my favourite players of all time. Without Iggy I'm sure there are a lot less Flames fans today. I'd be happy for him to get it against us because I feel we deserve to be a part of it. Obviously i want to win the game, obviously we need the points. But who doesn't miss the Iggy dance, or chanting IGGY IGGY IGGY, Oi Oi Oi!!
