Odds that he scores #600 against us this week?

Wow I have been so busy being excited about his upcoming milestone, I didn't even realize it could be against us. That would sour my celebration of the goal a little.

Although I wonder how the 19,289 would react if it happened? Standing O or jeers?

Its in Colorado, which might soften the blow somewhat.

I hope he gets it against us. I think the universe aligns for this one. I wouldn't even be mad and it would be extremely cool to see.

Has Iginla even scored against the Flames yet? I can't recall any goals against us.

I think he did earlier this year.

Yup, twice. http://www.nhl.com/gamecenter/en/recap?id=2015020178

Yep, one was an empty netter.

Never change Iggy, never change

He is a class player. I think (at least I know I do) that people forget just how good he was during some very dark days for the team.

It would be ironic if his 600th on an empty netter

^ Why ?

I think someone posted in the past that he actually has quite a low percentage of EN goals.

I think the conclusion was that his EN goal percentage was right around normal for high scoring forwards. Of course, some people just feel the need throw a wet blanket on everything.

Jarome at 600! Pft, yeah but how many empty netters?

Ovi at 500! Pft, cherry picker, lazy Russian.

Johnny PPG player! Pft, still not a superstar.

Monahan owning faceoff dot! Pft, no points last game, 3rd line C at best.

Yeah, yet people still act like a quarter of his goals are empty netters for some odd reason.

I would be fine with him scoring his 600th against the Flames. Not that I'd want it to be a game winning goal but if it is, so be it.

I think he has something like 5% of his goals being Empty Netters. According to this thread from 2011 - http://forum.calgarypuck.com/archive.../t-112107.html

http://www.quanthockey.com/nhl/recor...s-leaders.html

He is actually 8th all time in GWG's . That is 15.8% of all his goals scored. Which is really good. Gretzky was at 10% .. Jagr is the best of the all time GWG leaders at 17.8 %

Looking at that list, I can't believe a player who is still playing today is 4th all time in goals. Simply incredible. He'll settle in nicely into that 3rd spot.

I'd be ok with him getting his 600th against us as long as it's a late goal after we're up 4-0.

When Iggy gets the 600th, It will probably be the last time EVER in the NHL that a 700 goal scorer and a 600 goal scorer will be playing at the same time.
