By all reports they have been trying to move Wideman for a long time. And they put Raymond on waivers. So for all your bluster the question remains what do you want him to do? Mortgage the future for a short term upgrade?

Has anyone asked Hartley the question about Raymond. I know you don't want to make it personal but when your PP is 30th in the league and a guy on your second unit has 4 points. WTF.

Right on que, an actual viable NHL player scores a goal, attaboy Stajan.

In a perfect world he doesn't have the contract he does, and isn't even a Flame, but over the last 5-6 games he's been a decent player for them. But the story is that he's garbage so every mistake is magnified and every good play is either a fluke or someone else making the most of having to playing with him.

I generally agree with your thoughts in this debate but I don't understand why Raymond can't be put on waivers again... and again... and again....
Maybe just leave him in Stockton? Dude brings literally nothing and it pains me to see him wearing Flames silks at this point. Another poster said it best, it's like Weimer again lol, except wimpier and not good at anything.

Man, what's with the overreactions tonight. It's not simple trading your garbage players with big contracts in the modern-salary league. I'm sure Treliving has tried to trade those players especially with how known he is with being among the most active in the NHL.

Another chance for Hartley or Gelinas or Harvey the Hound to possibly put out a decent 2nd unit. Or just score with the first unit.

Remove the option for Hartley. Dump him in the AHL and forget he exists. It really is as simple as that.
