Yeah, I saw that after posting too. I hate fake discount advertising. The lowest denominator of marketing methods. I would have been quite happy with 50% off $120. Still a great deal at $65 but now I feel less satisfied, because it's not as good as I thought it was.

I don't really have a lot of expectations for Boxing Day sales anymore, but I have to agree with you, one of the worst ever. I was hoping for decent deals on a pair of Sorel Caribou Leather Boots (nope), Canada Goose parka (nope) and Epson P800 colour photo printer ($50 off $1,500, wow).

Are you seriously asking me to defend my opinion?

You're never going to get one of these on sale. And you can thank CG for that. Not the retailer.

I picked up a new TV today at Bestbuy... Wanted the 60" Vizio M60-C3... but they were sold out everywhere. So I went with my 1B choice of a 55" Sony Bravia XBR-55X810C 4K.
Have had it on the wall for 2 hours and i'm loving it so far... Android built right in, so no need for an extra Kodi box. I was also able to talk the sales guy down another $200 off the already discounted price

Wow.
Defend or don't I honestly don't care. I'm saying I disagree since Boxing Day deals have been largely degrading in the last few years (before the dollar tanked) and have been going from decent deals to get people shopping, to clearing out junk stuff that won't move to seeing higher prices than pre-christmas. And yet people still line up for it.
But you know, blame my mother. That's cool too.

Sorry, hard to green text on mobile. I just didn't understand your post.
I agree with you. But this year is worse than previous ones.
Damn anteaters.

Axe Music has been freaking nuts today! The "Sea Of Pink" sale is a huge success. And no, we aren't doing "List Price" and "discounting" to MSRP. We are discounting on MSRP, sometimes by a significant margin. I have multiple high-end keyboards on for up to $400 off, some even more. And there are Pink Tags in every department.
If you come in and identify yourself as a CPer I will give you a FREE drink holder that clips onto a mic stand so long as you buy something decent. The flyer says purchases over $200, but for CPers I'll bend the rules.

Went to get an extension cord at Home Depot. The old fellow in orange apron came by and literally whispered in my ear that due to the computer error, 90' orange cords on a wheel and stand with 4 outlets in the base and on/off switch are selling for $8.66 He couldn't say if it was a decimal point error or something else, but he said that all of their own guys bought some. These cord looks like an $80 cord, for sure. I bought three. By far, my best boxing day purchase today.
Also, 100%-cotton flannel lined jeans and khakis are 50% off at Marks.

Hmmm, that would be sweet if they were still on. I could use one of those. What gauge?

I would suggest boxing day is good, just not for a lot of us. There are some insanely good deals on 4k tvs, some good deals on videogames, boardgames, household appliances, drones. A lot of more than 50% off deals around. The problem with boxing day is a lot of times you want something specific and it's not on sale really anywhere. I had to buy a toque at regular price, damn NDP or whatever.
