My post wasn't fair because it didn't mention the team in front of him looking like junk and playing like boneheads. But I felt it wasn't quite on the level to say he'd played well. After the 6th goal he certainly locked it down on the chances Sweden did have, but he never looked comfortable and he played as big a role as any other player in that meltdown. Poor tracking, down early and slumping forward, deep in his net.

All that being said, it was one period. Just one really bad one.

Completely agreed--and I agreed with your initial comment that to say he was playing "well" was a reach. But (like you explain here) it wasn't all on him
