Agreed. Did anybody here have a long look in the mirror when we picked up Marchment? It's your team, and sometime your team has an ass on it.

If you defend the Burrows comment, then I'd certainly argue you have issues. IMO though, there are tons of Canucks fans who quietly find it reprehensible.

I think the issues is those people(s) that are defending Burrows.

I was not happy when we picked up Bertuzzi.

As an aside, Text, I am sorry, but you must be hauled up on the carpet for allowing you 10 yr old to develop into a Canucks fan.

There's nothing wrong with his head. Some people simply aren't very pleasant or nice and he is a world class jerk. He doesn't get the benefit of the doubt of being a young guy that hasn't matured. He's 34 years old and whether it was the O'Sullivan incident years ago or the Tootoo incident this season the guys simply isn't a decent person. It's a dominant trait in his biological makeup as he always has been and likely always will be a jerk long after his NHL career is over.

The shame is mine, and it gets worse: my youngest two hate Star Wars... How does that even happen?

I have three sons and the older two are both Flames fans. My second boy is a dyed-in-the-wool Flames fan. But my youngest couldn't handle the teasing at school that he was party to for years in 2007–11. He has also got this thing where he is intent on cheering against all of his dad's favourite sports teams.

Please do away with the hyperbole. My point was in reference to Canuck fans who still hold some degree of respect for Burrows, and or are able to put his actions aside and cheer for him.

Over the line trash talking in Vancouver goes back to Bertuzzi, and was carried on by Bieksa, Kelser and Burrows. Poor character permeated the team and the refs punished them for it in the SCF.

Preceded by Jarko Ruutu, Matt Cooke and Dan Cloutier....and then picking up Max Lapierre and Raffi Torres for their Cup run. I think Burrows is actually the last remaining ######bag. I don't feel hate for them so much anymore as pity.

Unbelievable. Go look at Jason botchford's Twitter account. Totally defending this reprehensible creature Burrows. I was starting to hate Edmonton and their fans more than Vancouver, but with people like burrows and his defenders they are back in sole first place on my most hated list. Just disgusting

Do you support your son being a fan of this organization? Seriously, just asking. I live in Vancouver and am saddened by the fact that I can't have my son root for the hometown team because they are scumbags ... not just a great number of players over the past decade, but persons throughout the organization and individuals (fanbase, media) indirectly related.

Yes, you are.

It's a game, played by men whom they will likely never actually meet, and who will have virtually no meaningful impact on your kids. The only reason for me to be concerned about players my boys cheer for is the kind of influence this admiration might have on their impressionable lives. Fortunately, I am confident enough in my own parenting abilities to ensure that they are thoughtful enough to recognise quality of character.

My blood boils thinking of those Dbags. I personally hated Kesler the most. It may be pity of me but i take comfort in the fact he and Bieksa are part of the problem and not the solution in Anaheim. What a terrible couple contracts.

But back on topic, not sure why i feel this way but if Burrows wasnt such a coward and would step up and face the music once and a while I wouldnt have as much of a problem with his BS. But he doesnt unless your a 5'9" Kris Russell - ada boy Kris.
