He was our best Dman besides Brodie tonight. His passing was damn near perfect, played very smart. Glad I always believed in him.

The kid is awesome and will be one of the best in the league in a few years. If he gets a mean streak going, he could be a dream come true.

I'm just shocked it took a young defenseman a quarter season to adjust to a new team/system. Except shocked is the exact opposite of the word I mean.
I'm ashamed of the posts I was reading early in the season here.

Really, not even a quarter of the season. He's been steadily getting better since Brodie returned, which was 9 games into the season.
Crazy that he was a -11 after 9 games, and is now a +2 after tonight. 6 points and a +8 during the 7-game streak.
Plus, he got his first GWG as a Flame tonight.

I notice that whenever there's a community event going on, Dougie is right in the middle of it. The Reading Give it a Shot event, children's hospital visit etc.
