I had a couple of beers with my bosses after work. It was my last day. I'm not drinking tonite though because I got to get up at 7:30 tomorrow morning.
I am actually not a beer drinker. I drink Crown or Captain Morgan's. I'll have a drink every now and then, but I don't drink to get drunk. Although there were a few times in the past year that I got drunk.
On my sister-in-law's wedding I couldn't drink because I was driving home, but when I got home I made myself a stiff drink (7 oz. or Rye) and it hit me hard, so I made another. Drank it all while watching Hogan Knows Best... I don't remember the show, but I seem to remember thinking it was the best show I've ever seen. I dunno, could've been the whiskey.
My tip. Through your Whiskey in the freezer. It doesn't solidify, ever. I've got a bottle of crown in the freezer, its been there for over a month and it still in its liquid form. Couple that with some cold Coke or Pepsi and you've got one smooth drink. It is a tip I think I've always known but forgotten about until about two years ago. I was surprised to hear how many people didn't know about it. You may have a harder time opening the bottle though, but it is worth it.

Never heard of a whiskey sour before so I had to look it up.
I wish I kept the link but a site had a recipe for Whiskey Sour Punch and it called for two cans of whiskey....
whiskey comes in a can?

100% true. Your ice doesn't melt so fast and therefore your drink doesn't get all watery. If you let it do that, you ruin it.
excellent point Buff.
7oz of rye in one drink? wow! you a maritimer too, or was the twinkle in the wife's eye making you nervous? God, I love weddings.

Nope, I'm just a big feller and I need to make it strong to get drunk fast. We got home at 2:00am and I wasn't going to spend the next 4 hours drinking to get drunk... the first drink didn't go down so smooth at first... the 2nd one didn't have any kick to it at all.... and oh the hangover.

I should note that the 7oz. is an estimate, but in the glass I use, I know generally where 2oz. fills up to, and I had filled up the glass substantially more than 2oz. It was definitly more than double, quite likely more than triple.

Just woke up..
Drinking water
When I do drink (rarely), it's usually too many Rum and Diet coke's
Or
Rum with some sort of delicious juice (pineapple, orange,) if I'm at home and it's summertime
Or
Sleeman Clear, Labatt Sterling, Molson Ultra
Or if I'm eating dinner or being social and really really feel like a beer
Sleeman Honey Brown or Newcastle
I do like some wines, but don't know enough to venture into something when I'm not with someone who will order the bottle

Your last day? Following in my footsteps and leaving the Bridge, Buff? Or did you get a new job in town?

Used to drink a lot of Vodka Ginger (Ale). Switched over to Vodka Sevens now... Really good drink when you throw a lime in there.
Gray Goose water is a very smooth drink.

not a liquor drinker, the hard stuff just makes me mean. don't like wine much either. Don't drink much at all since I quit smoking. Molson Export is my beer of choice, wouldn't turn down a Keith's either.

Posting under the influence is awesome.
Myself, I like a good sherry. But really, I'll drink whatever you put in front of me. If it gets me loaded I'm happy to oblige.

I'll agree with Eddie Bronze that being a Maritimer has nothing to do with your tolerence... that said
Bless the hearts of those who posted "Alexander Keith's" properly pronounced "Keetz". Definatley my drink of choice,
I also enjoy a double rum and coke (a good drink to have when you arrive to the bar drunk, and just want to sip and not spend any more money at the bar).
You can also mix rum with Egg Nog (well atleast at Christmas time). Vodka and sugary drinks are dangerous, there's a local dairy (Scotsburn) that makes fruit juices as well as supplies milk. Their fruitpunch is so sugary that you can have a 50/50 mix of juice and vodka and not taste the vodka (those make for very messy nights).
QMJHL season opener for Cape Breton is tonight (in Halifax here I live) against the Mooseheads.
Go Eagles Go

That's not bad--but homemade eggnog with Jack Daniels is about the smoothest drink I've ever had--and I'm not a J.D. fan. Seriously--try it. That stuff will make you go blind with a smile on your face.
