Almost there? Already there!

On a playoff team.

That's signature worthy.

I suppose a player could have minimal gaping holes as opposed to lots of gaping holes.
What is the smallest a hole can be but still be gaping?
Anyway, I think boring Sean Monahan would make an interesting mayor for speeches.

Until he does it more than once, you cannot discount that one year was an outlier. Not that I think he won't, but he isn't there yet.

I asked the fans if they would like a new arena. They said yes. I said okay.

Monahan has been a large part of this teams success over the last few seasons but there are obvious things he can work on. Skating and physicality being the biggest two things to me.

I don't think he's a top center on most NHL teams right now, that said the guy is 21 years old (which is f'ing crazy) and there is plenty of time to develop.

I could make a pretty good argument he's as good as or better than the top centres on 10-13 teams in the NHL. That makes him a number one centre in my book.

Not just his Draft year, the 2012 Draft too. He also has more goals than everyone except the #1 & 2 picks of the 2011 Draft.

Monahan has been everything we could have hoped for, especially throwing him in the deep end at such an early age. (Don't get me wrong, he earned it).
As far as critiquing his game, I do think it is fair to look for improvement in the physical game. I think Johnny uses his body as much as Monahan. He seems like such a strong kid, but it doesn't show that much IMO.

Yeah, everywhere I go and everyone I talk to that cares about Flames hockey all praise him almost as much as Johnny. I think he gets lots of love.

He's a low key guy it seems, so that probably suits him just fine.

Monahan isn't even at 200lbs yet. We all can't wait for Bennett to fill out, but what about Monahan? He's not the most physical guy, but hopefully when he's up another 10-15lbs, he'll learn to use his size to lean on guys like Colborne was taught. I still think that Bennett will end up as center, so when those 2 boys are filled out, there gonna be a handful.

Still makes me giddy that he's only 21, yet is playing his 3rd season already. Time flies.

He doesn't get the media attention because he isn't flashy, but I don't think there's anyone who doesn't acknowledge what a huge part of this team Monahan is

He's only 9 goals behind Ryan Nugent-Hopkins

In my humble but infallible opinion, the only thing wrong with the third is the baseball script on the front. Replace that with the regular Flames logo, and you've got a uniform more than good enough to replace the stupid Bavarian Luge Team gear.

Kudos to Kaine for having the good taste not only to put Monahan's name on the jersey, but to photograph the back of it so we don't have to look at that stupid script.

I agree. However... They could just make the retros the third and be done with it.

That would still leave the Bavarian Luge Team jerseys as the primary. I have always hated those and consider them a plague upon the land and an abomination in the sight of the Lord.
