14-pound newborn sets record at U.S. hospital
Ouch!
http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNew...0915?hub=World
Oh baby! Marie Michel's fifth child was one for the record books. Michel gave birth to a 14-pound, 13-ounce boy Tuesday at William W. Backus Hospital.
....
Less than 24 hours old, the baby was fitting into clothes for a 6-month-old and was too big for newborn diapers.

My wife is due in a couple of weeks and her mouth just fell open. When she could speak it was simply "ouch".
Wonder if the mother is diabetic? Diabetics tend to have large babies.

Latest word is that Notre Dame has just signed the baby to a letter of intent.

It probably wasn't even her worst pregnancy.
She said she previously gave birth to twin 8.5 lb boys. That's 17 pounds in her!

My son was 9lbs.5oz. and I thought that he was big! He was already holding his neck up on his 2nd day and by a week he could (with somebody balancing him) push himself up with his legs... that 14 lb. kid.... he's probably already kicking down doors.

I once worked with a guy in Montana who was originally from Ford City, PA. His parents had moved to the US from Czechoslovakia before he was born, as did many of their relatives. Anyway, he had literally dozens of first cousins since all of these families had many children. He noticed that his family only had two, he and his older brother. So one day as a lad he asked his mom why she only had two kids. That's when he found out that he weighed 13# at birth!

haha, that WAS kind of creepy - sorry. You type THEN you read. But you may just be just 5'11".. You should be in some sort of scientific study. I was born as I said, but was a late bloomer. 5'7" in grade 11 and deathly skinny and now am 6'4" and 230lbs. Genes are weird. No one above 6' ft in my family except the ones that died in WWI.
