To add more smoke to the Johansen fire, it sounds like the Blue Jackets are considering healthy scratching him tonight.

One has to wonder when enough will be enough with this guy. Personally I wouldn't want him on the Flames as it sounds like it wouldn't take long for him to be in Hartley's doghouse as he doesn't have a lot of use for lazy players.

In a lot of ways Nashville makes sense for Johansen.
They have the young stud d-men. They need a #1 center. They were able to overlook the issues of Ribiero and Hodgson.

Jones for Johansen with spare parts going either way might make sense.

Tortorella is going to run their franchise centre out of town and won't last himself for more than 2, 3 years. I don't care much about the BJs but it's hard to not be frustrated here, seeing another team bring this guy in and watch his destructive nature play itself out. Feels a little bit like the Gilbert/Savard thing. Button traded a young top 6 C because of dispute with the coach - coach fired later anyway. Bad asset management, poor coaching hire.

Ryan Johansen would look very nice on the Flames in my opinion, however, I am not sure what the price would be.
Mark Giordano for Ryan Johansen? This will definitely not be popular with many posters (for even value alone), however, this will give Columbus some much needed leadership on both the team and backend while really solidifying Calgary's offense. I think Johansen is a great player and we definitely won't be worried about our top 6 moving for a while forward.
Then we can go ahead and potentially trade Jiri Hudler + Asset for Dustin Byfuglien who are both UFAs at the end of the year.
Lastly, Jonas Hiller for Jonathan Bernier
Gaudreau-Monahan-Frolik
Bennett-Johansen-Granlund
Backlund-Colborne-Jones
Bollig-Stajan-Jooris
Brodie-Byfuglien
Hamilton-Engelland
Wideman-Russell
Ramo
Bernier
This was fun.

Lance Bouma wonders where he's gonna play. So does Ferland, I guess. I'd swap those guys for Bollig and Jooris at the very least.
Do not want Bfugly. Too cheap shotty for me, and he's a UFA wanting a lot of money (probably way more than Hudler). Also not a good guy in the room IMO (while Kane was mainly responsible for his own situation, Bfugly didn't help any). If we are taking a disgruntled Jet, I'd take Trouba.

I can't see a team taking that kind of risk on Johansen. Best case for Nashville in that deal is that trade a potential #1 dman for a potential #1 center. Worst case, they trade Jones for a headcase...I don't see anyone taking that kind of risk. More likely to be traded for a player in a similar situation or a package, in my opinion.
Ducks might be an interesting fit.

man Johansen was stellar last year. not sure what's happened there...
Was the hometown hero @ the all-star game. Now it sounds like he's the zero.
Or torts is being torts? I mean he did'nt like the way the Sedins play. As much as I hate the sisters, how can you hate what they do?

Apparently Johansen didn't come into the year in the best shape. I'm sure Torts being Torts he's just running that into the ground.
The guy is a disaster, I can't believe another team hired him.

It's just too bad the oilers didn't hire Torts. That would have been epic.
I can see Johansen going to another team and really lighting it up though.

Yeah, i am on this train too.
Just one more in a long list of bone headed decisions by the Jackets.

To be fair, I don't think this is all on Torts. The Jackets management and Johansen had a real fight over his contract at the start of last season, he didn't sign him deal until just before the season started. I don't think the bad blood between the 2 sides has totally been resolved and its possible Johansen is trying to force his way out.
Yeah, Torts probably hasn't helped matters, but I'd say the damage was done way before he ever rocked up.

Exactly. This is on Johansen not Torts as the issues pre-date his hiring. I'm kind of surprised how so many fans that would avoid Kassain because he's a problem player are willing to overlook what is clearly a problem player in Johansen albeit more gifted talent-wise. This guy makes Taylor Hall look like Mark Messier captain material in comparison.
