Can Fiorina answer a question without mentioning Hillary, Jesus she's a dolt. I used to dislike her but now I strongly dislike her. Even Rubio got a good laugh when she mentioned something about senators being useless. She failed in her senate bid.
Actually christie can't answer a question without mentioning Obama and Hillary either.

The bizarre thing about the gun control debate Is that polls have shown a significant minority of republicans support stricter gun control (37% in one recent poll). Any other issue, and 37% is enough to make this an issue that candidates at least do lip service to. But between the lobbying money and the backlash, nobody on the Republican Party is going to say anything except 100% support for gun freedom. The thing most stopping a gun control debate from happening is fear of the gun lobby within the Republican Party, not the attitudes of republican voters.

The NRA gives republicans money through their political victory fund, and they also rate the candidates. Big influence, just like the xtian coalitions.

Ben Carson is attempting to match Trump in the crazy game now. Says we should deploy US troops to the Canadian border as part of his anti terrorism plan lol
Quote:
Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson is calling for the U.S. to deploy soldiers to parts of the Canadian border.
Carson, who is fading quickly in the polls, made the proposal as part of the “Seven Steps to a Safer America” anti-terrorism plan he issued on Tuesday.
The sixth step: “President Barack Obama and Congress should immediately deploy the National Guard and military troops to patrol the U.S. southern border as well as designated spots along the northern border.”
He did not identify the spots or say why he believes current security measures along the Canadian border are inadequate.

You should go to it and hold up a sign saying "RACISTS"
Actually don't. You'll get shot.

I mean Trump has pretty much every rally streamed on YouTube. The only thing that can be experienced in person that you don't get from watching the rallies is being told that you're a mother####er and should be lit on fire, or getting a beat down, or being called a Muslim or terrorist, or actually being in person with a bunch of quasi-Klansman.

Hmm. If I'm packin' my 9mm for protection and I see that guy entering a crowd with that on his back can I cap him to save lives?

Watching this now. It really appears everyone has clued in to Rubio being the de facto front runner, as a lot of these guys are really taking shots at him.

This is kind of my point. A guy legally carrying a rifle in an urban setting would make me nervous, and I've been around firearms my entire life.
Walking in the woods in NW Montana and seeing guns everywhere doesn't bother me. Walking in downtown Phoenix and seeing people with AR-15s would make me nervous.
Put someone who carries for protection in the same situation and I think things can get sketchy.

This. I think his campaign realizes that a lot of work can be done for them over the last few and next few months by the vocal and insane candidates.
At some point, someone with a level head has to emerge.

Honestly, I just don't see them coming back to a sane candidate. Now can I see the GOP going with a brokered convention to have a sane candidate? For sure, but I truly believe the GOP base is so pissed right now they'll go for the insane-o.
You also have to remember that in the last two elections, the base had to settle for McCain and Romney, neither of whom they really liked all that much. But they were willing to go with them if it meant a win. Except as we know they went with them and lost anyways. This time around I think they aren't concerned with a "candidate who can win", because they got burned by those the last two elections. They want their brand of crazy up there.
