That was a really hard to watch first period. The whole game was meh, but there definitely were some highlights and the fact the Flames won still amazes me. After the first 15 minutes, I thought no chance to win the game at all.

Johnny's defensive shift and taking the body was great to watch. Thought Colborne and Ferland got a lot of ice time simply because of their big bodies and it paid off with a lot more cycling and a lot more offensive zone time.

Ramo deserves a ton of credit for a very well played game and keeping the boys in it, in the first period.

Brodie was excellent...again. Thought Russell and Hamilton had not great games. A ton of giveaways from both. Yes, Russell scored the winner, but most of that was Johnny.

Sometimes you win games you're not supposed to. I'll take 6 in a row.

As long as we're ahead of the crappy oilers, I am at peace.

Can we talk about Dougie's sprawling pass to Johnny that sent him and Russell off to the races? He is really starting to find his groove on this team. Good for him.

Johnny is golden in overtime. The minute he steps on the ice you know it's basically over.

I was a bigger supporter of Hiller over Ramo for a good while but Ramo has been much better as of late.

I have to really hand it to Ramo tonight. Not only did he play great, but he had the foresight at one point in the game to jump in the air and try and avoid a shot coming from behind the goal line in the corner.

Not sure what player it was, but he was aiming for a bank shot.

Props to Ramo - he gave them a chance to win. First time this year the Flames won the goaltending battle?

In the first 9 games of the year, Hamilton had 1G, 0A and was -11

Since then, in 21 games he has 2G, 7A and is +11

Ramo's two poke checks at the end of the third were clutch. Give him the credit he deserves, he's doing enough to give this team a chance to win every night and that's more than we can say for the first half of this season

Ramo played very well tonight - credit to him. His new gear looks very Kipperish. I like him more for it. Still, upgrade the goaltending please.

Johnny is insane. Biggest star the city of Calgary has ever seen.

TJ Brodie is the best player on the team and may be one of the best D in the league.

Bennett's leg looks fine. He was driving hard and cutting without any issues. That said, it's been a rough couple games for him.

Can't find it to quote it, but someone asked for Johnny's p/60 in 3-on-3. It's 39.6, the only player in the league higher is Brent Seabrook, Johnny has substantially more TOI at 3-on-3 than Seabrook does too. Other players with 20 p/60 or better in 3-on-3 are Dougie Hamilton, Jamie Benn, Tyler Seguin, Evgeni Malkin, Phil Kessel, Gustav Nyqvist, Jordan Eberly, and Leon Draisaitl.

None of them have higher than about 25 p/60.

Johnny is amazing.

Steinberg also does this real annoying thing where he lingers on pronouncing the first part of a word. Not sure if he even notices, but it's like someone with an annoying tick lol.

So for example, he'd go" TTTThhhhe Flames tonight again were vvvery impressive in overtime. But they still have to wwwwork on their special teams".

Can't believe the flames actually got 6 wins in a row and totally redeemed themselves after that dreadful start.

Now fix the special teams!!
