Flipping to the Oilers/NY game when I get a chance, and noticed 2 things.
1) The second an Oiler touches the puck in the defensive zone, Hall is racing up the ice for a breakout pass. I can see why his offensive stats are so good this year. It also makes me very impressed with Drisaitl. The centreman is picking up the defense on that line, and clears the zone more often than not. Without him, Hall would be putting the team a man down in their own zone quite a bit.
2) There's a dude sporting 88. I know that Lindros was no Gretzky, but it's rare enough that it's weird to see. 99 and 66 we will never see, 77 is reserved for defensemen, but oddly enough 88 is rare.

Tampa 3-1 down to the Leafs. Injuries seem to be killing Tampa at the moment, their list of absentees is ridiculous.

The Wild are pounding the Canucks 3-0, Parise with two points.
The Rangers are hanging on to their 3-2 lead over the Oilers.
The Sharks still lead 3-1 over the Habs, Tokarski was pulled after letting in three goals on only a dozen shots!
Duchene scores, 1-0 Avalanche after one period.

No one commenting on the oilers loss?
Canucks getting pounded 6-1, and outside of the Buffalo game they haven't had a goal that didn't include the Sedins in the last 7 games

Winnipeg is so bad.
Blows a two goal lead AT HOME to St. Louis, who scored two goals on four shots in the third period for the win. Outshot by the pathetic Jets 13–4 in the final period.
The Jets are now tied in points with the Flames who have a game in hand. What is really embarrassing is that one month ago they held a commanding 10-point lead over Calgary.

How has Dallas played only 5 games vs. their own division, yet 10 vs. the Atlantic and 7 vs. the Metropolitan?

Glad to see Kane's streak end.
Glad to see the Canucks get pounded and the Oilers lose.
All I can say is I hope the Flames' streak continues.

Looks like they tried to get Kane a point, at 23min only Keith and Seabrook had a few more min of icetime.

Q was double shifting Kane with Rasmussen and Bickell, after Shaw took a bad penalty. Q often double shifts Kane, though, usually with Dejardins and Kruger, and had been doing that, even before the streak.
On the game...Varlamov has owned the 'Hawks before, and tonight was no different. Bickell was AWFUL both on O and on D. And the few chances the 'Hawks did have seemed to bounce over their blades.
Once the 'Lanche had the lead, they really succeeded in clogging center ice. They executed, the 'Hawks didn't. Colorado got a deserved road win.

Varly is really getting back into form. If the Av's ,being a budget team, can't afford Varly next year I wouldn't mind if the flames could trade for him. My only issue with Varly is his durability.
