You sound like the guys on Storage Wars who get outbid and then make an excuse that you ran up the price, yet if they had bid more they'd call themselves smart. It doesn't matter to me whether you are okay with me paying this much or not. I'm comfortable with my bid. If you want to bid more, then you're free to do so. If you want to not bid again, you're also free to do so.

Looks like my plan of outbidding everyone at the last second is still viable, although it's getting pretty pricey. I suppose if the info is good enough budgeting to get 12 Gs back would be reasonable.
