^ That was very well done. Are those official spots or some very good amateur work?

Apologies if it has been mentioned, but critics can watch the film as early as tomorrow and the embargo on reviews lifts 1pm our time Wednesday. Maybe I take RT too seriously, but am a little nervous to see what the score will be by Wednesday night or so.

Considering Jurrasic World's score given what it was (which was a visual treat but very much lacking in substance or believability), I'm positive this sit in at least the mid 80s, even if it's just good but not *great*.

I still don't understand the high reviews for Jurassic World. Nostalgia plus a cool dino battle at the end does not make a quality movie.

I'm confident Star Wars will not be as disappointing though as it is a continuation of a great story as opposed to an unnecessary sequel/remake.

So who's going to be related to who?

Kylo Ren is Han's son?

Ray is Luke's daughter?

I have a feeling they'll be closely aligned with the original movies to bleach the stink and filth of the prequels off for good.

So can we all agree to leave this thread spoiler free, or heavily marked for spoilers. I am on the verge of going dark on social media till i see the movie on Thursday at 7:00. I consider CP kinda a safe zone.

Are we all in agreement?

Finn is the long forgotten love child of Leia and Lando.

I mean it makes sense, the Falcon escapes from Cloud city, there's a long trip back to the alliance fleet. Leia in mourning over the whole Han thing. Luke unconcious for most of the trip, Chewie in the back working on the hyperdrive or doing a ends rinse on his hair. How hard was it to turn off Artoo and 3PO.

"You know Leia, I can dress up like Han if you want me too, he murmered"

And sure enough when he goes to look for Han, he's wearing Han's clothes (Seriously check out the end of Empire).

Loneliness combined with a shoulder to cry on and copious amounts of Colt .45 malt liquor.

Then Finn is born, he's a handfull, Leia is off trying to organize the resistance, Lando has that nasty Sabaac habit. Next thing you know, Finn is acting out and Bamm, he's sent off to a military boarding school to straighten out, gets recruited by a sympathetic Storm Trooper recruit ("I'll show you mom and dad" he shrieks in a whiny teen voice). Joins the StormTrooper Core and then realizes that R2D2 and C3PO were the droids of legend that they were looking for.

No idea if this is going to be tied to the movie or not, but was reading the Star Wars comics on Marvel Unlimited last night and thought that a new character they introduced was kind of interesting (especially since it is one of the Disney comic releases and is considered in canon).

Spoiler!

Watched all 3 of the original trilogy this weekend, I am ready.

If I have time this week I will try and fit in a few of the prequels.. but not prioritizing it.

Would like to know the answer to this as well. I'm going on the 17th, will definitely want to spew about it somewhere after. Here? New TFA spoiler thread? I'm also trying to shake an unhealthy addiction to /r/starwarsleaks. There seems to be a recent flood of new info that is really, really spoilerish.

Also, borderline unrelated, but a neat perspective on Luke:

I'm working on the 4-5-2-3-6 order. God #2 is awful. Is #3 any better or should I just forget the whole prequel nonsense exists and go back to ROTJ?

I think a new thread is a good idea as it is inevitable that some form of spoiler will leak through here. Also I haven't watched the prequels since I first saw them but I remember III being not that bad. I will start with that one, then work backwards to 2 if I have time.
