That 'someone' was blaming the goaltending and the coverage and repeatadly said it was a soft goal. Stop the witch hunt.

Probably not a chance, but Kane probably won't finish with 120+ points either. So they'll be a cooling on that percentage gap.

Boy I hate the nhl's point system. We should be 2.5 games up on the Canucks instead of 2 points back.

We'd still be 1 game out of the playoffs, but 1 game is way easier to make up in a balanced point-system than the some-games-worth-more junk that's been going on for the last ... What, 15, 20 years?

they have two more players a shot from the side boards is good coverage...it would be impossible to cover everybody...just sayin'

Reading this thread and if I didn't know otherwise, you would think the Flames just lost.

Lots of criticism for a team that just swept a 5 game homestand.

Lots and lots of hockey to be played still, but this team just might have turned a corner and be ready to start rolling.

Treliving along with the coaches have to figure out a couple things, but the personnel is starting to make those decisions for them.

If anything, I think this team seizes up when one of the goalies lets in a weak goal. Because it happens so frequently.

After that 2nd Rags goal, the Flames seemed to be afraid to let any shots through to the net. It's like they revert to a "prevent defence" because they can't rely on their goalies to make key saves. At least, that's how it looks at times...

For me, playoffs aren't as important as continued growth as a team. Their play of late has improved--better goaltending at key moments would only help increase a young team's confidence and progress.

We let in 3-4 in four of those 5 games. Three wins came after regulation and only one was won by more than one goal.

So yeah, there is quite a bit to pick apart. Especially when talking about goaltending and goals allowed.

Whenever they are about to go on the pp they should take an offsetting minor and go 4 on 4 for 2 minutes.

exactly we aren't Oilers fans...take the win for sure but realize goal tending like that is not gonna get it done and its putting points at risk

I said the same thing last night to Oilers fans that were partying like it was 1984...the Flames have a good enough team to lock up home ice in the first round except the goal tending

The reffing was absolute bush league. Johnny getting tripped and no call. Punched? Then we get two back to back so the Rangers can tie it up? C'mon NHL, get your $&@# together
