I agree with SebC in that if you are not available at the time of your selection that the draft continues and everyone can make their choice. Then when the absent pooler gets back on they make their pick based on who's left.
This happened in the NFL draft when the Vikings ran out of time and the teams that followed stormed the podium to make their selections before Minnesota could finally make their choice. It rewards those who are monitoring the selection process closely and keeps things moving quickly.

If you don't like it, send a list of players to someone to make your picks for you.

I did a quick check and there are a few posters that have taken over 8hrs to make a pick (excluding 12 to 8). There are a bunch of people who average a pick every 2 hours or more!

I agree beacuse this is getting pretty frustrating now. I mean I've been out of town this whole week, but made a consistant effort to check when it is my pick....I see no reason why everyone else can't do the same.
We need to be pulling a round a day, just to get this thing finished in time. I say 2 hours should be the time limit, and after time passes the team that missed can make their pick whenever they show up, but the draft continues on. (Just like Tilley says)

Not that I am happy waiting around like anyone else but technically skins would have from 8 AM this morning to start his time which would give him till like 2 or somthing...if we are doing the 6 hour rule. Any way I will be around all day so it really doesnt matter when he picks I should be able to get my pick done quick and get this thing moving again.

I agree with the shorter time limit. if you miss your spot, the draft continues and you can make your pick of whoever is left when you get back.

If I know I'll be gone for most of the day I'll PM TOTF or somebody my picks again.

Just wanted to give you a heads up.

Really sorry all... I was in California yesterday that was a very long day for me. I basically didn't even think about the draft. Had a job interview.
