Wow that was an embarrassing sequence of defending by United. 2-1 Bournemouth

Bournemouth outplaying United pretty decisively. The commentators are clearly United fans because they are choked.
I like Van Gaal's style.
"Theres the team-sheet. So, now tea and cakes?"
He is just completely uninvolved in the game. Is he even watching it?

Silence you, its compelling television.
Unless you replace him with me. Then this Borthwick-Jackson fellow would either start every game or never. His name is just too difficult. I'd need a stamp or just sell him.

The problem for Van Gaal is they just don't look that interested out there. If they've given up on the manager he's got to go. Bournemouth just cares so much more than a team who can go top if they win, not good.

92nd minute, United need a goal. Van Gaal brings on Phil Jones.

He filled out the team sheet!! What more do you want from the man? Blood??
In fairness though, with that roster the only thing that can be missing is drive. 2-1 to Bournemouth flattered United, it should have been a heavier defeat and it isnt like he hasnt spent any money or has no 'good players.'
Rooney probably earns more than all of Bournemouth.
And starting Varela and Bnjksdfaknj-Jackson was a big middle finger to everyone after he was criticized for starting them in the CL. Its unfortunate that that seems to have backfired on him.
And I doubt they sack him, I just dont see who they'd replace him with. Rodgers?

The best Bournemouth week ever pretty much. And for United, one of their worst weeks ever. I'm not sure they fire Van Gaal right now but I imagine he's out at the end of the year barring a big turnaround. They do have a lot of injuries but his decision making at times is baffling.

well to be fair, all the other full-backs are injured. Not a lot he could do about that ... but he at least could have played Young instead of one of the youngsters, no idea what he has done to be stapled to the bench.
In general, I don't think the injury excuse is valid though. Yes, there have been a lot of injuries, but the squad is extra thin in terms of depth because van Gaal wanted it that way. It pisses me off when I see that Chicharito has 17 goals for Leverkusen already this season while van Gaal must throw on Nick Powell if he needs a goal. That is totally on van Gaal himself, so he has no right to moan about injuries.
The real concern is this:

and that simply can't happen in addition to the injuries. I think the players have simply given up on van Gaal as well.

You must feel like a pig in ####. Wins over Chelsea and United? Probably didnt have that penciled in when the season started.

Pretty much.
I didn't have either of these wins pencilled in a week ago either.
Or at the start of February 2009, when we were 9 points from safety, cut adrift at the bottom of League 2 after a 17 point deduction.

At this stage I will take anything that gets rid of that dinosaur. No way would I let him have any more transfer money.
And congrats Rich, best thing that;s happened the league since the crazy gang.

great win for Bournemouth, arguably the two biggest wins in club history in back to back weeks?

If I am Giggs the reason I am saying no to Swansea is because the United job might be open in a few months

I don't get the strategy behind grooming Giggs for the job.
Think about it. You are considering putting someone with ZERO managerial experience in charge of one of the biggest clubs in the world?
I'd prefer if he got the Swansea job and went and cut his teeth somewhere else and then came back in a few years.
