At this point I'd love to see Leicester win the league. City sure as doesn't deserve it

Even by new city fans standards it didn't take you long to jump ship.
I applaud you for not going with the norm though. Most jump to Chelsea. Mind you that is not much of an option this year so might as well go for the team ..... at the top of the table.

@devo At least today I felt (for a brief while) that they had some urgency and creativity and were going to grab a late one.

United fans love to blame Van Gaal but they had at least 4 very good chances and simply didn't score. They still need more talent up front, besides Martial no one is really threatening and even he missed a sitter today.

I'm not jumping ship. Weird you'd say that. I don't think they deserve the title with a game like today. They certainly can rebound

yes, we love to blame van Gaal because it's the same #### that happened at Bayern 5 years ago. It's dull, it's boring and it's uninspiring. Yes, they had a few very good chances today, but to be fair, West Ham hit the post twice in the first half as well. It's not like they dominated West Ham, they could have easily lost today as well.
United has scored 5 goals in their last 10 games, which is an abysmal record for a team with that kind of aspirations. And I don't buy the "they need more talent up front" argument for one bit. There's more than enough talent in this squad to score more goals.

Based on the chances not converted and the overall flow of play, a draw was the deserved result. I guess one thing today did show is Rooney might not be great but him being out didn't make much difference and he might have finished the chance Fellaini missed.

Not a great outcome for Tottenham today. They aren't losing, but just aren't winning enough games and today was one that they had to have IMO. I have no idea how the Kane non-call in the second half wasn't a penalty. That was ridiculous, and if not for the foul that was an almost sure goal.
That said I am not blaming the official(s). Spurs just flat-out didn't have it today. The score could have easily been 2-1 or 3-1 West Brom, or a 2-2 draw even if that was a penalty and goal for Kane. It leaves them three points from fourth after the showing by City today (hey look, things could be worse!) I think that Liverpool wins easily tomorrow in Newcastle and we'll be tied in points and probably ahead on goal differential (unless there is some kind of historical destruction and they win by ten or something crazy)
Next weekend is a home match against Newcastle and surely we need three from that one. You have to pick up points against these bottom teams to have any hope.

The four very good chances are by far the exception rather than the norm this season. Pretty much every game where they haven't scored have been the result of creating zero chances.
At least today there was a small glimmer of entertainment and attacking play in the last 20 minutes, as opposed to the dull, sideways, safe, boring, mundane, wrist slitting crap we have been subjected to since this arrogant stubborn fool arrived.
I heard the commentator say today that he sits on his orange arse during games because he believes that once the game is started he no longer can influence it. BS. He can motivate players, keep them on their toes, urge them on, install a sense of urgency, work the refs/4th official, create some energy, react to situations as they arise but instead he chooses ..

Bournemouth make Chelsea pay, but the ref ignored the most blatant handball I've ever seen about 5 minutes before in Bournemouth's box. Hate to see that.

I like to laugh because it was Chelsea, but oh my lord if that game had happened to Liverpool I'd be furious.
The non-penalty call. I'm torn on crap like that, I mean the ball very clearly hit his hand, his arm was in an unnatural, extended position, but he and his arm were sliding on the ground.
I saw it a few times and the only conclusion I could come to was:
"That sucks, its harsh, but that has to be a penalty."
I'd love to know why the ref didnt call that.
And the Bournemouth goal? The commentators concluded it was offside, so again, that sucks, but that was so, so tight I just dont know.
But its storybook stuff, Chelsea were all over them but the final quality was terrible. Poor crosses, no one attacking good crosses, dreadful shooting, I mean Ivanovich took a shot from just outside the box and hit the goddamn corner flag!
Then they get their first and only (?) corner and score a dirty one. You knew they were going to, you could just feel it.
So Chelsea were denied a penalty and suffered an offside goal against. Jose is going to be apoplectic.

Chelsea have bigger problems than not being given a penalty.
Where the hell were they for 90 minutes? How do they not score? Mourinho should look at his squad before he talks about referees. If you can't score an open play goal against Bournemouth, don't blame it on the refs.

They do, they absolutely dominated the whole game but did nothing with it which is the bane of a possession game.
That being said though, their defending was poor, Bournemouth only had the 1 chance the whole game really.
Their whole offensive setup is wrong though, they must have had 30 or 40 crosses into the box and absolutely no one even tried to attack them. In my experience thats when you stop crossing it in from wide. It isnt working so you have to switch tactics. But they plod on relentlessly.

Yeah, I don't know why they continue to cross the ball in the box hopelessly. Reminds me of Moyes' United. Terrible to watch, I had to force myself to stay on the couch at 6am on Saturdays and watch dozens of crap crosses.
Do you think Mourinho stays the whole season? I don't but who could replace him? Ancelotti is still out there but I think he wants the year off. IIRC he wanted to relax for a year after his surgery.
Anyway, Newcastle just scored! Woo
