Any Web Programmers willing to help out CP?
I'm a GM with the Calgary Puck Hockey League (CPHL), a group of fanatical hockey fans that dedicate probably too much of their lives to making their CPHL team better.
The SIM League has been around for a lot of years now and is a core group of GM's that are actively involved in the CP Community.
We are desperately needing to upgrade the website and back-end processes of how we currently manage the league.
And we don't have money.
So I am hoping that there is some generous, kind and smart Web Designer out there who is willing to make a contribution of their time to help make the CP and the CPHL even better.
Please PM me if you would like to chat more.

I'm not sure if its embarrassing as to how much time I spend or because of the lack of positive results! Awesome league though and a lot of fun.

No way. I just talked with KG and Hesla the other day, the CPHL isnt for me. I'm far, far too lazy, thats why I dont do keeper leagues, I like to pick 'em and forget 'em.

Hey there, you might know me from the CPHL. I'm GM of the Kings.
Should talk to Pat/Rob and I before outsourcing

Actually, you should probably scratch that. I never have time for side projects.

Coder/database is what I do; I happen to shower regularly and don't stay up all night though so I hope I'm not disqualified....
I'm unemployed at this time, so I'd be happy to donate some time.
Shoot me a PM and we can go from there.
Starting point is probably to setup a storyboard and prioritize things. That way anyone with the skills and desire can pitch in.

I did most of the development for CPHL back in the early 2000's (wow long time ago). I wanted to learn about web development and since I was unemployed at the time it was a cool opportunity. I wrote it in Perl and I must of put at least a couple hundred hours of work in it. Someone who had experience in web development would of course been able to do much quicker and better. Looking back at the on the way I did some things makes me cringe a bit.
It definitely needs to be updated, most likely totally re-written. If I started this now I would have written it in Java or PHP, use the newer HTML5 features, etc. I've always wanted to create a game simulator to integrate right into CPHL instead using the FHL software so the league would be a totally complete and automated, but it was too time consuming.
I wish I had the time and the desire to re-write it but I don't at the moment. If you do find someone to help they can contact me if they have any questions.

I'm in cphl (as you know) - I can probably do it as long as you guys aren't expecting it to be super fast - I could probably have something in place for offseason - PM me
been tempted a couple times to bring it up with the brass on a re-do of the site.
