Don't mean to derail this thread, but every time I see Corigan speak/write, it seems like he's boosting his own ego. He refers to three singers from the grunge era, of which he was a part, as the voices of his generation. He then refers to himself as a "competitor" with Weiland.
I've played so much STP and Velvet Revolver over the years that I haven't listened to it for years. Those video posts were a treat again. The Big Empty was one of my favorites.

One place I lived my roommate and i were regulars at the pub across the road and at last call they would always play Purple.
The band broke up more than a few times, largely due to Weiland's relapses and the rest of the band got frustrated with the regular interruptions. But Weiland always wanted to be back as part of STP. The guys in Velvet Revolver said they were always sure Scott was waiting for STP to re-form and the VR was only a part-time gig for him.
It has been 20 plus years since STP was formed (25 since Mighty Joe Young was formed) and I am grateful for what they were able to release.

Forgot how much I liked the song Creep. It was on a mix tape I'd play every night as I fell asleep for a couple years at least. Listening to that again brought me straight back to my bed in Lake Louise residence in 1994. RIP dude.
Just heard a track from his latest record with Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts that I had no idea existed. "White Lightning". Great stuff.
34 on Sirius (Lithium) will be playing a lot of his stuff over the next couple of days.

I loved STP in my teenage years (still do), and then along came VR. And even though I rocked both bands a lot, I also thought he was dead. I could swear he died like 5 years ago. Oops.
Some great STP songs already posted. Here's one of my favorite VR songs. Don't know why it wasn't more popular. Bit of a slow start, but one of their best songs.
Apparently cocaine was found on the scene. One has to hope fentanyl wasn't the cause as it's been taking a lot of lives. It will he interesting to see what the autopsy has to say
