Holy cow I haven't watched CNN in a long time. What a bunch of crap they talk about to fill airtime. Absolutely the most annoying channel.

A couple of trucks showed up full of armed men. Don't know if they are cops or soldiers.

Edit: the site is getting hammered right now though. Their servers can't handle the load.

I think the website that hosts it is overloaded at the moment. Most recent version I can find.

Of note, reddit noted that a US Department of Homeland Security aircraft has been circling the area for a while now. From flightradar24.

Spoiler!

Ermm, there's a few more than a 'couple of trucks' there.

I know. But I'm saying that's why there are so many people there. Many came from 2-3 trucks, each loaded with many guys.

Couple of random looking cars abandoned up the street from the SUV doors open. I wonder if they were people driving along when the shoot out started? Can't imagine that scenario, shudder.

What a coincidence.

https://www.facebook.com/SanBernardinoCountyFire/

Yesterday they posted this along with photos...

"County Fire Participates in Active Shooter Exercise
A Battalion Chief and 9 firefighters from the High Desert participated in an active shooter exercise held at Victor Valley Community College on Nov 30. Working closely with our public safety cooperators, firefighters practiced mass-casualty incident (MCI) triage techniques, patient care and safety measures during an active shooter incident, and took this opportunity to test inter-agency communication equipment. SBCoFire personnel are trained and ready to respond to mass-casualty incidents from traffic collisions, to large scale disasters."

I'd believe in such coincidences if this wasn't a common occurrence in large scale attacks. ...I'll put the tin foil away now.

If it isn't a coincidence, then what do you think the relationship is between that exercise and today's attack?

Why is this always a thing for conspiracy guys? Emergency services consistently training in actual scenarios that have happened in other places? Seems more coincidence then anything.

And on the topic of the militarization of the police, its calls like this that forces their hand. At the end of the day, the police need to be prepared to deal with on going, dynamic, situations like this when the people are doing this are so well equipped.
