The scanner feed is giving the best updates, but is also terrifying.

So there's 3 shooters and they're on the loose?

Hope they catch them soon.

There's been studies that giving a mass shooting incident media attention, like naming the attacker and almost glorifying (for a lack of better word) the incident may trigger other shooters.

The FBI has implemented a "don't name campaign" requesting media not name the attacker, giving them the fame they covet, in hopes that there isn't this contagion effect.

Sounds like there is more shooting going on at a nearby shopping center. This is going to get worse before it gets better.

Oh, yes in that regard you are correct. But I think the USA is past that point. THIS shooting won't be the one the triggers more. It'll be the 2,000 preceding ones as well as the general gun culture here.

I thought you meant there would be like a turf war between prolife and prochoice people.

Friend down in CA just posted about it.

CNN (fack I hate them) has experts saying they figure it's a domestic militia group.

Multiple reports from various sources saying the shooters are in camo gear, with assault-style rifles and headsets. Reports of them at the Elementary school also identified their appearances (I won't say what they are, I'm not going to profile).

Are those reports sure the suspects aren't actual state/county law enforcement?

Because that is what they are wearing.

So wouldn't the shooters be listening to the same scanner feeds that we are?

THere was a report of a potential explosive device, perhaps the evacuation is a precaution.

Part of the problem with these incidents is media is reporting whatever the hell without vetting it. Everyone wants to break the latest info, and they know no one really cares if they're wrong.

Evidently their conference center was being utilized by another group. It will be interesting to see what group it was and if it was a targeted operation or just a random choice.
