It's weird to watch non-Sportsnet Flames games and hear colour commentators who actually say interesting and insightful things. Things that you wouldn't have known or been able to tell from the game being silent.

For the record. Those ads are created by a digital provider operated and owned by teams. Supposedly there are many varieties some good some not so good. Commercials are sold and owned by Flames on regional telecasts. They also operate the digital provider. I complained to SN and this is what I found out. Hope it helps.

I'm always amazed at how often Sportsnet passes the buck.

It's their broadcast, it's their logo and team we see all the time. Stop blaming others maybe?

Fairly confident besides the players names you could take Simmer's comments and play them over any other game and not know the difference.

Never had a problem on telus optik with HDMI. The only thing I can think of is similar to audio sync on gaming machines based on ports....they say to adjust it because there isn't always audio/visual/input synchrony. Now I have no idea what would do that on a TV feed, only thing I can think of is if your video and audio feeds are separate, as mentioned up above somewhere, like HDMI video, rca audio, or component video and optical audio, etc the processing time would be different leading to the delay. Whereas for example HDMI with audio over one is processed at the same rate......

Seems to be a combination of when they are at home and the game is on Sportsnet Flames. That's when I notice it.

Good theory but doesn't make much sense. I'm sure if people had issues with Big Bang Theory being out of sync with the dialogue that they would look into it being fixed.

I'm with optik and HDMI connection as well, and telus snw flames broadcasts are the single thing on my tv that is out of sync. I wouldn't encourage people to start changing up their hardware because of someone elses incompetency.

Strange, I am digital to my receiver as well (HDMI).

Maybe I have too many primers before these games!

Has anyone watched the Oilers broadcast on SN enough to know if they have the same issues with the audio delay?

I can't believe this is still an issue one month out from the year 2016. Ball called Mony's shootout goal almost a second before it went in!!

I'm amazed there are only a few posters here that this bothers as much as it does me. I find it so distracting when I hear the clank of a post just as someone is shooting!

It's fine for me, watching the SN feed on gamecenter (should be same as TV). However, I had a really annoying audio stutter through the whole game last night, which has happened a few times now this season. Don't know if it's SN or gamecenter. There was no stuttering with the Dallas feed.

Weird. I had the problem in the past on our other provider (Sasktel) but we have since moved to ell and I haven't seen, well heard, the issue at all.

The only problem I have had lately with SNW games is a cracking noise coming out the rear speakers I don't get on any other channel.

I was actually at the game and had the game PVR'd (Shaw). I rewatched the last 5 minutes and the OT/shootout. It was so blatantly obvious, the audio was a good .5 seconds or more ahead of the video.

Just horrible. I mean come on, it's 2016 almost for f*** sake!!!

I saw the PGT on CP before Monahan even shot the puck. Is that a Telus issue or SN issue?

I'm with Telus and the same thing happened with me. A poster above said he's on Bell Satellite and he was hearing calls before the plays were made, so I think it's a SN issue.

Oh sweet 2015 sign up... it's Sportsnet, it's always been Sportsnet and it always will be.
