I mute her. The cadence of her speech is stunted and un-natural. She says 'uh' a lot. Good broadcasters don't do that. She is knowledgable, but the delivery is distracting.
Shannon and Sutter are even worse, they add almost nothing. Sutter should be better considering his experience in the NHL.

I prefer her over many of the other hosts we have had. good interactions with the rest of the panel, and she keeps things moving along.

Blah. Don't like her and find her annoying. Oh and I don't care if you don't like my opinion. Thanks.

She is Rogers eye candy... nothing more, nothing less.
Evanka Osmak is the cherry of all SN broadcasters.
Please cue the homer simpson/babysitter(candy) gif.

Not a big fan although I'm getting used to her. She's full of hockey catch phrases and cliches that makes her sound like a poser.

If she is on, I don't turn the channel, as I would with most Sportsnet related gibberish. She has proven that she is much more than eye candy.

Except she called Colby Armstrong "Cody" Armstrong. Yup... eye candy.

They surely know each other pretty well, so if that was intentional... isn't that kind of awesome?

I think she does a decent job. It is nice that she actually pulls for the Flames. The Oilers and Canucks both have their Sportsnet supporters that are clearly pulling for their broadcast team.
Like i said it is refreshing that she is positive on the Flames.
No problems with her hockey analysis either.

All I can hear when she talks is this...
But she's grown on me and I like her none the less. Not only that she took a lot of criticism that in my eye's, was unjust. She's good at her job imo.

She is nothing special. Not great. Not crappy. I don't really think she is as knowledgeable as she sounds, but she does her job.

It probably helped that her dad is Ron Hextall who played goal for the Flyers and that she grew up in that enviroment.

Why? I am not attracted to males, so I would not think the same things when I look at one.
How about instead I ask myself if I would be bothered if someone attracted to men said what I did.

I stand corrected
Dig some digging on that and found out her grandfather is former NHLer Bryan Hextall and has an uncle who played in the NHL also, Dennis Hextall.

I posted this earlier.

Same thing with Loubo. Couldn't stand the "he skeeorse!" voice initially, but after getting used to it, I realized the guy is a wealth of hockey knowledge, and is quite good at what he does.
|
Lea is good at what she does.
Loubo is nothing but wealth of cliches. One of the worst PBP, hosts, insider etc I've ever heard.
Pat, Rob and others will say some interesting things here and there but this guy says nothing useful.
Fan960 should get rid of him.

I think she's fine. Maybe it's me, but things like commentary, PBP and ''hosting'' the intermission don't really matter to me. I watch hockey for the game. But she's done a fine job and I have nothing to complain about with her.
