Didn't realize you were blaming smudge.

Hellos no. Ramo standard.

You are insane if you're blaming Smid for that goal:

The first goal was on no-one but Ramo. Smid can't tackle Spezza, all he can do is push him to the outside, to a position where he can't take a high percentage shot. Just because Ramo let in a shot that should never go in at this level, doesn't show anything about Smid's play.

Ramo gave him top shelf, but Smid was completely
Out of position and Spezza than blew by him. At the game he looked like he was going in slow motion in that play.

I can see why Friedman would suggest that no team would take a flyer on that contract for another year, but no team has Calgary's goaltending woes.

The big risk for the Flames obviously, is that if he isn't an upgrade, they're stuck with him next season.

Pretty sure smid took out the passing lane, goalies job is to save the shot, D takes out the pass.

Ya that was a 2 on 1 so Smid played the pass. Spezza burned Ramo. I blame the 2nd D there.. probably Wideman.

Niemi is like a better version of Ramo.

.

Doesn't matter if Smid falls flat on his butt; Ramo needs to have that angle 95% of the time. He's given up that goal plenty this season.

I watched the Dallas feed tonight. Boy was it enjoyable! From their perspective Dallas did Dallas things in the first. In the Second Dallas was lucky to be up because Flames were taking a half second too long and just missing grade A chances. Period three was a mix of both Dallas being a turnover machine and Flames forcing them plus grade A chances. Topped off by Benn's comments after the game
