Survivor - Cook Islands
Stranded on the Cook Islands in the heart of the South Pacific, 20 strangers must live together and compete for the million-dollar prize. Who will outwit, outplay, and outlast all others? Don't miss a single episode of SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS, premiering Thursday, September 14 at 8 pm ET/PT, only on CBS.
The surprise this time is splitting the teams into racial groups!
The Aitutaki (Hispanic-American Tribe), the Raratonga (Caucasian-American Tribe), the Manihiki (African-American Tribe), the Puka Puka (Asian-American Tribe).

Love how Big Brother ends and 2 days later, Survivor begins. Pretty pumped for this season. For all we know though, they might merge the four tribes into 2 tribes within the first couple shows, like they did last season with the 4 different age groups.

Looks like a good cast. I've always had a guilty appreciation for how this show can hook me.

With them doing the racial speration is a good reason not to watch this season. I just find that offensive and racist.

I have a feeling this is gonna get real ugly... real quick...
As a black dude, I hate when they find the most ignorant ###### from the mean streets of detroit and put him on TV... and in this case, they'll be "representing" the black man... this is gonna be bad.

Maybe I'm making light of the decision, but seeing as they claim it came about as a way to diversify what had been up until then a ~90% caucasion cast on previous editions, I think claiming 'racism' is pushing it.
That said I haven't seen how it plays out yet. If it's poorly done, and peoples fears are confirmed, I'll be more than willing to turn it off.

I don't think it will at all. I think CBS is seperating them just for initial publicity. After a couple shows they will merge into 2 tribes before real rivalries are created along racial lines. In the end it will be much ado about nothing.

Soulman....not to worry...us whiteys have been represented by hillbillies from bumfark Tennessee. I think it evens itself out on a show like this regardless.

If they are going with the racial angle, they should do it all the way.
With "Stereotypical Challenges", to (hopefully) disprove all those prejudices people believe in.
Math question problem solving
A game of basketball
Spicy food eating race
Uhhhh....a being "the man" contest?? What the heck are white people stereotypically good at?
Anyway, I just think that as far as reality television goes, this is no time for half measures...

Yeah, I'd be in as well.
Kind of like the look so far, kind of nice having 4 seperate teams.

umm...running multi-million dollar, unethical coorporations?...but seriously though...kill whitey...go Spanish team, whatever their name is.
But seriously, it should be an interesting experiment that will only last a few weeks until they merge the tribes.
I'm not sure if I like this idea but hey, as long as it makes entertaining television then who cares, apart from over-excited interest groups.

I think the hispanics are going to win it. They seem to have a solid team. The asians are in good shape too.
