Yikes. We'll see if they can continue to play as well as they have without him. Condon will need some help from Tokarski, he was looking tired after too many consecutive starts.
Habs have built a solid lead atop the division so they will be able to manage in his absence. The positive is that he's not going to be burned out by the end of the season.
They've played pretty well as a team, but losing two key guys for a long stretch of time (Brendan Gallagher as well) will challenge the depth of this team. Semin is a bust, but Fleischmann has looked terrific. Galchenyuk is coming into his own. Even Smith-Pelly has been better of late.
I forsee a couple blow out games based on bad tending, but overall the strength of the team and the surprising strength of Condon in goal will carry them until Price is back.
Looking at the standings and schedule it dawned to me that they could lose every single game in those six weeks, and we still might not catch them.
I never really realized how huge the gap between the top and the bottom of the league really is. It's not something you usually think about much. Doesn't seem as much in points.
