I honestly worry about the safety of them.
Tell them to move to California. Nothing but diversity, sunshine and rainbows here

Castle Pines? Lol, they're safer than anyone, that's rich white people land. Columbine is a solid 45 minute drive and Aurora is at least 30. Don't go all "my commute from Okotoks to Calgary is only 15 minutes" on us

Yes Minnie, the springs are the focus on the family place. Good thing we got all this freedom here. Freedom spilling out all over the place, right into free people that are free to become freedom corpses.

When it comes to mass shooting, white people are probably the scariest.

I had a friend that did a road trip through the southern U.S. a few years ago. I think it was Atlanta where she said she got lost and ended up in some rich suburb. They saw some people in their yard so pulled up next to the house and thought they would walk over and ask for directions. She said the people started freaking out telling them to say off their property, not come any closer and that they were armed.

Maybe just a bizarre situation. I can't say that it is normal or indicative of everyday life there, but I found it funny and scary at the same time.

.
Columbine High School is 25-30 mins from Castle Pine (so says Google Maps), Aurora is the same.

Yes Castle Pines is a safe white neighourhood, but you might has missed the point of the post.

The family often leaves Castle Pines, you know to do life. My nephew plays hockey in Littleton.

It is still too close for me.

Stolen from Yahoo.

Quote:
Witnesses now telling police at the scene that there were three gunmen. "They said without a doubt there were three with long rifles," officer says over police radio.

Officers are being ordered to evacuate one of two buildings at the scene because of a suspicious device.

From police radio: Bomb technicians say the suspicious device is "out of the norm." Officers evacuating the building now. Will use a robot to remove the possible explosive.

Shooting apparently occurred at the Inland Regional Center, a health services provider for developmentally disabled people.

Is the country to the south of us going to socially implode soon? A couple years ago I thought the idea was a little far-fetched, now a days it almost feels inevitable in the next decade or so if things keep going this way.

Scary, scary country. I'm so glad I'm Canadian.

Fox News reporting 12 people now dead. Not sure if the shooters are in that number or not.

Any ideas on the motives for this? More anti-abortion terrorism?

Facility/centre helps people with developmental disabilities.

The Inland Regional Center is a non-profit, community based agency that serves more than 31,000 people with developmental disabilities from San Bernardino and Riverside counties.

Inland Regional Center says on its Facebook page, “As an agency among agencies, Inland Regional Center coordinates with generic services to normalize the lives of people with developmental disabilities and their families by working to include them in the everyday routines and life rhythms of the community and by facilitating needed supports for them.”

The agency opened in 1971 and employs about 670 people.

The Inland Regional Center has programs for those with developmental disabilities of all ages.

Oops. That is pretty darn close to my residence, although far enough not to cause me any personal alarm.

These shootings. Just so senseless. So many innocents die at the hands of people with guns, yet 50% of this country still defend gun use like they are defending their right to clean water and air.

I might barf if I hear another idiot say "well if only those folks had guns on themselves to protect themselves..."

I ####ing hate that line. I legit wanted to strangle dumbass newt gingrich when he tweeted that about the Bataclan WHILE IT WAS HAPPENING.

For me, its sad that I was more horrified and disgusted by the Paris attacks (granted it had more casualties).

But, this one, I kinda/sorta expected. Isnt it proven that "one shooting leads to another", ie, more shootings happen after one? This, and the PP incident, will likely escalate things.

I don't think this one is connected whatsoever to the PP one. Nor do I even think it's an abortion issue.

Why would this lead to more shootings?
