Dman, they're too close to field goal territory now which will end it. ****, they were so close too, just one horrible drive killed them.

Outside of points off of those two Edmonton fumbles, Ottawa's offence has done nothing.

I think they were right in punting.

They should have been able to stop obvious runs.

Neither of teams would have beaten a healthy Stampeders team. I know that sounds like sour grapes, but that is the truth.

I have to say though, with all the **** the CFL has taken over the past couple of seasons (much of it deserved) this was a great display of Grey Cup football.

Sold out stadium in the cold, close game, outstanding officiating. The league needed a game like this.

Terrible outcome. Now Jones can go to the Riders and create the big green bully. Disgusting

Have to give Edmonton their due...they were the best team for most of the year and were able to finish it off. Mike Reilly is one tough hombre so I'm actually happy for him.

Our turn again next year.

Not to derail the thread...

But as someone whos interest in the CFL has slowly waned in the past few years, why do we hate Jones again? is it because he would shake Huffs hand that one time? Or he left the team on bad term or something?

Besides Reilly, no one is more deserving of this victory than Ed Hervey. He was a great soldier with great vision and leadership, moved into the GM role and right the ship that Danny Maciocia and company ruined.

One thing that I really, really wish would change in terms of Grey Cup traditions is for the fans to respect the Grey Cup presentation. I understand a small contingent of losing team fans leaving at the buzzer.

But I've always found it really disrespectful how the home city fans get caught up in all the celebration all week, then the biggest moment comes with the presentation of the Grey Cup and 90% of the fans rush for the exits before the presentation. Like C'mon.

He's an ####### (hand shake is just one example), and he left Calgary while under contract.

I guess one thing the CFL could try to combat that is maybe don't wait 20+ minutes to get to the presentation. Bring the CFL crew out, put the team on the stage, let them celebrate with the Grey Cup with fans still there, then let the team go and celebrate with each other and take selfies with family and all that.

Didn't see the second half, but on the radio they're saying Jones called a timeout and then threw the challenge flag? How is that possible?

Yes, he's a gaping #######. Smug, arrogant, #######. In my opinion

Hervey is no Chris Jones, but I wouldn't call him classy either. Remember what he did to Simeon Rottier in 2013.
