This actually isn't true, time is fluid and always moving, so if a clock is set correctly it keeps pace so to speak. A clock not moving would only be correct if time froze for the shortest possible atomic cycle.

Outside of Gaudreau, Bennett, Frolik, and Brodie I haven't been consistently satisfied with a single player all year.

I would agree with that. He's not winning the Norris any time soon but for a sixth defenseman he's been solid.
