Granny had some good chemistry with Johnny in Penticton last year. Hopefully they try them together again.

I think this is his final call up! Hoping he gets a #### in the top 6 and stays with the team for the rest of the year.

People forget Granlund was the Flames Points Per Game leader last year when he was centering Gaudreau and Hudler through December.

Bollig has good chemistry with Johnny. Heck, throw the pads off Ramo and make him Johnny's winger, and I bet he finds chemistry with Johnny.

Anyone has chemistry with Johnny by the looks of it. Gaudreau makes anyone better.

I don't think the plan is to use Granlund on wing.

To the best of my knowledge Granlund has been used exclusively as a center in Stockton.

You would think if they were considering using him on wing, they would have at least played him a few games on wing in the AHL so that he would know the position in the Flames' system. (Granted going from C to Winger is much easier than vice versa).

Sweet, now can we drive Jooris and Raymond out to the countryside and set them free?

At least Bollig has size that we can use when needed. Jooris and Raymond are purely detrimental to the team.

Bollig's size just means he takes up more space. Completely useless hockey player.

Yeah but at least he can get in the way. Raymond and Jooris can't even do that.

You mean like that hooking penalty he took the other night?

Jooris can kill penalties, get the puck up the ice, draw penalties, has good hands around the net.

I swear, people turning on Jooris for blowing a tire on a PK are being so ridiculous right now. When's the last time you guys saw Bollig on a PK? Never, because he's awful at hockey. Detrimental to the team? Just two games ago the Ferland-Jooris line was wreaking havoc on the opponent's fourth line.

Maybe they'll put Granlund on the wing and move Bennett back to center.

I just don't understand why they don't convert him to the RW. He sucks at faceoffs, is small, and there's enough depth at centre in the organization. He has a great shot and can one time it on his off wing on the RW. Everything suggests that he should be played at RW.

He should be auditioning for Hudler's spot on the top line. That is the best use of his skillset. This isn't a Baertschi situation here where he hasn't earned it, by all accounts, the kid has done everything asked by management and coaches and has even produced in the minors consistently. They should start trying him in the role he is suited for.

I like bringing up Granlund to see what he can do this time. So far, though, I don't think he's an NHL centre unless his FO and physical game has improved a lot.

Granlund is OK at a lot of things, not great at very many. OK speed, positioning, passing. Not great physical play or energy, and terrible faceoffs. He is a bottom sixer, but not well suited for that role.

Yeah been waiting for Granlund to make the next step for nearly 2 years now. Too good for the AHL, still not good enough for NHL. Has 2 months changed that? probably not.

I'm guessing that's "shot" misspelled

Granlund just needs to shoot more up in CGY. He just doesn't use his shot enough. Needs to up his attempts. Granlund is a top 6 guy IMO, needs to establish some sort of trust with the coaches to grab one of those spots and hold on to it heading into next year.

Still one of my favorite prospects.Just wish there was some wiggle room for consistent minutes on the big team for him.

He plays hard but positionally he is continuously lost. Does not know where to be but does play extremely hard.

This is what I'd like to see:

Gaudreau-Monahan-Granlund
Hudler-Bennett-Frolik
Ferland-Backlund-Jooris
Colborne-Stajan-Jones
