I think his concern might be more in terms of turnout depression for a candidate they don't like combined with turnout increase to keep her out on the Republican side.
Thing, is I'm not convinced that there wouldn't be Democratic turnout on steroids to prevent a maniac from becoming president. If it were Rubio she were running against, that'd be another story.

It's frightening a person with obviously a low IQ could be leading any poll to run for president of the most powerful nation in the world.
America truly needs to wake up.

I doubt he has a low IQ. I suspect it's actually quite high. He's just wrong about a number of things and downright crazy when it comes to others.
EDIT:
Also, being similarly non-versed on Cuban immigration policy in the states, I'm not immediately seeing a problem with #3.
#4 sounds like an example of him not thinking very hard about an issue but I don't think he was being malicious, more innocent ignorance than anything.
#5 seems like some world class nitpicking and not really important.
#6 I don't really understand what he's trying to say.
#7 is absurd, like laugh out loud stupid.
I don't have much to quarrel with on #8; it's totally true that rushing the shooter is a legitimate tactic. The problem is getting a bunch of people to do it together.
#9 is just a political view that I happen to disagree with.
I think #10 is being melodramatic but it's actually a fair criticism of a number of people who criticize the guy.
I don't have much of a problem with #11; certainly a lazy melodramatic analogy but nothing stupid about it.
#12, his "no muslim president" thing is indeed quite stupid, but the comments in the following paragraphs are I think reasonable - it depends who that person is and "what their policies are, just as it depends on what anybody else says, you know." Fair enough.
#13 is world class idiocy. Thankfully he walked that one back and realized he was being an idiot.
#14, also world class idiocy.
#15 is also stupid, but it's deliberate; it's obvious and heavy-handed fearmongering.
So some of those were terrible, others, meh.

Carson might be ignorant or pandering to an audience.
He ain't stupid - went to Yale, medical school at Michigan, and was director of paediatric neurosurgery at John Hopkins.
Who knows if he believes half the things he says?
Trump is no fool either.

Carson is trying to sell books.
Trump is trolling. He'll drop out at the last minute and say "hahhahahaha look at all you fascist-sympathizing idiots".
Or Trump might actually realize he can win, and when he wins, we'll see the real Trump, not this troll Trump. His whole life he's been a pretty liberal guy.
Ted Cruz is the real man to fear here. A truly insidious psychopath with no decency whatsoever.

Don't forget that Trump was a leading birther and as far as I'm concerned birthers motives are racist. His tax plan is also just another trickle down variation which will spell disaster for the tax base.

Maybe he doesn't have a low IQ, but I think the basic point stands. It's frightening that a man like Carson or a man like Trump could become president.

Armed rednecks threatening a mosque in Irving Texas. Maybe the wrong thread, but I'm sure these "patriots" feel emboldened by the hateful racist rhetoric from their politicians and Fox News. The American Republican Party is the best recruiting tool the DAESH could possibly hope for. They are morons.

Trump supporters beat down a Black Lives Matter protester during a Trump speech. AFterwards, Trump says the protester was being obnoxious and loud and "maybe he should have been roughed up". Of course he also repeated he'd never allow a Syrian refugee into the US, detailed crimes committed by people illegally in the country, and basically stoked the fires of fear and inherent racism in his supporters. I mean this really seems like "How to become a Dictator 101".

Carson will treat Muslims equally....he think there should be a database on EVERYONE.

But it's the democrats the Tea Party and right wing republicans are worried about.

This guy sure looks like Presidential material...
Quote:
Businessman and reality TV star Donald Trump is under fire for mocking a New York Times reporter with a congenital joint condition during a campaign rally in South Carolina this week, drawing a scornful rebuke from the reporter and others who called Trump’s actions “despicable.”
The incident occurred as Trump was defending his recent claim that he had witnessed thousands of Muslims cheering in New Jersey on Sept. 11, 2001, as the World Trade Center collapsed. The assertion has since been fact-checked and discredited by law enforcement and government officials who were in New Jersey in the days and weeks following the terrorist attacks.
On stage Tuesday, Trump berated Times investigative reporter Serge Kovaleski for his recent recollection of an article he had written a few days after the attacks. Trump appeared to mock Kovaleski's physical condition; the reporter has arthrogryposis, which visibly limits flexibility in his arms.
“Now, the poor guy — you've got to see this guy, ‘Ah, I don't know what I said! I don't remember!' " Trump said as he jerked his arms in front of his body.
The gesture was all the more personal because Kovaleski covered Trump while reporting for the New York Daily News between 1987 and 1993, a tumultuous period for Trump in which he struggled through several financial setbacks.
“The sad part about it is, it didn’t in the slightest bit jar or surprise me that Donald Trump would do something this low-rent, given his track record,” Kovaleski said.
Trump campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks declined to comment on the record about the incident. A campaign official speaking on background said Trump was "not aware of any condition and was not mocking his physical appearance in any way."
In a phone interview Wednesday, Kovaleski said he's sure Trump remembers him — and his condition.

20-30 years ago one slip could kill your campaign. Now you can get away with all kinds of misconduct and lies, as it is forgotten in the next news cycle.
