Hard to argue that that impending contract extension is looking pretty freaky right now. I really hope he can turn it around.

Hamilton was super weak on the second ducks goal. No resistance at all.

Gio has been trash. The Flames will live to regret his new deal. Overrated player, but great locker room guy I guess.

What the hell has happened to Giordano. I swear to god it's a Space Jam scenario and some alien stole his skill. How on earth can you go from a Norris favorite to this garbage in one year?

Flames lose so it must be Ramo? No way it can be the few offensive cycles that ended on Subban, I mean Widemans stick or soft play in front of him.

Lets in a soft goal? To one of the leagues best goal scorers since entering the league left in tight. It should have been saved but sometimes the puck finds the one tiny hole. Its not as if he was out of position.

That deflates the team? Then we have bigger issues.... The Ducks didnt seem to deflate after 2 soft goals

I was happy. Having a good start to the evening. Life was good. We got home to watch the start the 2nd. Frolik scores 3-2 Flames look not bad going into the 3rd. Ok this is good right. Nope I forgot the Flames this season love to throw games away on the road in the 3rd. Less than 2 min in ANA ties it and Flames basically quit. Should not have turned the game on. This team on the road is so wimpy. So full of turnovers and gift goals to opposition. #neverquit does not apply to this 2015 Calgary Flames when the road especially in the 3rd.

I'm one of the biggest HArtley supporters on this site, but it's getting real hard to defend some of his decisions.

Even though Bollig and Raymond only had about 6 and 12 mins each, Hartley seems to put them out at the worst of times. Gio might be our captain, but he deserves to sit. Like next game. Time for coach to sack up and make the toughest decision he's ever had to make during his tenure as flames' coach. And Wideman? 21 plus minutes again for that piss poor performance. Guaranteed he'll be out again for 20 plus minutes next game. And the game after.

I would love to be a fly on the wall and hear exactly what the coaches system plan is. I really would. Because to me it is definitely not puck possession. When a player has no play, he throws it around the boards or into the oppositions corner, effectively making it a giveaway. Good teams like Detroit or Chicago pass it back to their D. Even if it means putting everyone in the offensive zone offside. The Flames are more then content to give it away and be forced to defend, in the hopes of producing a counter attack. Well it just doesn't f'ing work.

But what boggles my mind the most is how a team with almost an identical roster as last season, added 2 players like Hamilton and Frolik, and yet we lost that never say die attitude. Last season you just knew they would come out like gangbusters in the 3rd period and push the other team to the limit. But not this year. It blows my mind that a team can just flat out forget that mentality. And literally since day 1 of the season. What the hell did the players do all summer??

I was fully expecting the loss, but for about 5 mins when we were up 2 zip I legit thought that we were going to break the curse and I'd have a fresh Ramo tattoo on my ass.

#### toyota, #### nissan and #### the honda center. The stupidest curse in all of sports and I'm god damned sick and tired of it.

I also liked Ferland with Mony and Johny.
He added the power forward to that line and is a very good skater for his size. There were a handful of times in the third he just puts his head down and marches the puck into the zone and then lets Johny do his thing. It is just too bad that Johny was off his game tonight.

Hamilton looked pretty soft on that 2nd goal. Let Rakell go right in on net just helplessly trying to poke check him.

As long as they are not rocking the 3 headed goalie monster they sure can bring a guy up from Stockton.

I'm no advanced stats guru but apparently when you add you PP% and PK% the goal is to be above 1.0, and the Flames have been consistently below 1.0 all year.

Tonight they were 0. A friggin 0.

Maybe he is the Jim Carey of dmen. I imagine you could still trade him if you regret the contract and get something for him.

I agree 100% -- Jooris is getting a really bad rap on that goal. He made a really nice hustle play, and lost an edge deep in the other team's zone -- it happens. It was only a problem because the rest of the team sold out shorthanded in a tie game. Awful pinch by Giordano there.

Flames have taken a lead 20 times this year. They've only kept that lead three times. In other words, they've blown a lead 17 times. Oh, and of those three leads Calgary has managed to hang onto, one of them was the game in Edm where they took the lead with 9 seconds left.
Ho.Lee.cow.

That is incredible.

I'll take the blame for tonight's loss.

- went to use snowblower, it broke.

- went to shovel snow, shovel broke

- came in to watch Flames game, they broke.

If the bed breaks I'm calling in sick tomorrow.

@RogMillions: Could be rehab assignment .. Will wait for word from #Flames

True, but Hamilton should not be playing with a offensive d partner. Hamiltons strength is in the O zone and rushing the puck. His weakness is in his own zone.
I would love to see

Brodie - Russell - 2 guys who can create offensive chances and have great wheels yet you get the fantastic defenisve side in Brodie.

Hamilton - Gio - Gio can go back to just worrying about defense and let Hamilton take over the offensive side.

Wideman Engelland - Just keep the minutes as low as possible and ride your top guys.

80 goals against in 22 games, just a complete systemic disaster, Hartley is very lucky Lou Lamorellio is not his GM...

what top teams have a goalie with a .898 average? He's not playing to the level of an NHL starter. Every team has players that giveaway the puck every game, however not every team has a goalie that lets in a soft goal every game. It wasn't kind of a soft goal, it was beyond bad. That kind of thing demoralizes a team more than almost anything.
