I'm confused by Gio. Has he lost all hockey sense?
I don't get the feeling that he's nursing something.

Jooris is trying to be fancy this year and I have no idea why. That's not how he was successful last season.

Ducks goalies are rebound machines. They just need shots on them.

We have relatively good numbers in terms of how much PK time we have, but the fact that 1 out of 4 penalties ends early has to factor into that.
Also, our PP-to-PK time is waayyyyyy worse than last year. We're +0:39 after 21 games this year, last year we were averaging +1:30 per game.
Last year we averaged 3:48 of pk time a game and 5:12 of PP time.
This year we're at 4:30 pk time/game and 4:36 pp time. Looks like all that press in the run-up to the season about our great PP/PK difference got in the refs heads and they're both calling more against us and calling less for us.
Which is ridiculous, considering that we have the puck more this year. Last year our possession was so bad our special teams differential was nothing short of amazing. This year, spending more time with the puck, we're getting way less benefit of the doubt.

Anaheim's backup goalies are playing and still the Flames can't win a game there? Yeesh...

Bouncing puck, Johnny can't get the puck down. I do like Ferland on the top line, though.

The Flames goalies are worse than backups though, so it doesn't really help.

Our goalies aren't the reason we have zero possession.

This is so hard to watch. Flames can't make basic plays it seems.

So the problem was a forward losing an edge, not a dman jumping into the play when his partner is already up on the play? The low percentage play in that situation is not the forward trying to stop, it is the dman deciding to go in deep.

We can't win a puck battle. Brain dead plays. And the dump and chase is slaying me...especially since we are being out skated and the aforementioned puck battle issue.

They constantly have 2 guys forechecking. That's not the 1-3-1.
