Flames haven't looked good and both our goals were from sloppy rebounds.

You can't teach physicallity or hockey sense, and it starting to look like this guy has neither.
It is amazing to read some posts about mistakes of game reflects mismanagement of BT and pile on Hamilton and Ramo...C'mon they are just mistakes.

It is like you make a routine mistake at work and someone from another department blames the whole HR that gave advices to hire you.

It is unbelievable how often guys are getting away with slashing gaudreau! Someone is going to break his freaking wrist and the refs are just going to stand there going "oh... I didn't see it... Sorry." Wake the %#&! up! Teams are absolutely targeting his hands because he's so elusive to check.

The curse is strong. A 2-0 lead evaporates in less than half a period.

Fortunately, I think the Ducks have used up all their goals for this game -- just need one or two more and we got this.

Sometimes narratives are narratives because they are true.
Most times narratives are cognitive bias, and you seem like the exact type of poster (there will be many) that will follow the narrative and keep it going on CP, unfortunately.

Your post sums it up perfectly, as Hamilton predictably struggled with a new team and new conference, and style of play that was completely new to him etc. Then over the past month he completely turned it around and started to look like the budding star D-man he's pegged to be, like MMF said, second only to Brodie on this team right now.

Except what you go with is basically to go with his struggles early on and extrapolate that unfairly to "we're twenty games in and he's been underwhelming" and then add in one bad gaffe and use it to solidify your assertion (see: narrative) that he's been bad all year.

Sorry man, no offense, but you could not have given a better example of building a narrative. Webster's could remove the actual definition of narrative and replace it with your narrative of Hamilton and non hockey fans from anywhere in the world could read it and be like "Ok, yeah, I see what he did, I get what a narrative is".

Ok...just scanned the game thread and I have determined that the entire Flames fan base is bi-polar at the moment. Amazing swings of highs and lows these days. Almost unbearable to read. There's just no patience. I don't know, maybe it's the rough start to the season, but you aren't going to blow the other team out every night, yet it seems like some expect us to do so.

I think I'm gonna leave the game threads alone for a bit. Far too much emotion around every single play these days.

Thanks a lot Millions for bringing up Getzlaf's slump.

Some of you people must be bi-polar, there is no middle ground you're either singing praises or calling for hanging. It's a tie game where neither team looked particular great but took advantages of 2 opportunities. There is still 40 minutes left to play, I'm just hoping for a solid 2nd, and a return of last years 3rd period step on their throat while they deliver a kick to da nuts type of play.

Of it could be because the Flames have not beaten the Ducks on their home ice in about 500 years.

I think Hamilton has been great over the past six games or so. He struggled mightily early on, but he's been solid lately.

Ya he got burned tonight by Rakell, but hey it happens.

The first quarter for this season has been a train wreck and roller coaster. Some heart taking moments and several heart breaking moments. Flames Fans are passionate we love our team.

I'm ok with being tied 2-2 after one. I'm not ok with going up early then coughing it up almost immediately in the Flames worst building ever.
