Time for Calgary to deploy the 6 fat guys stacked in goal for regulation strategy, and let Johnny, Brodie, et al take us to a president's cup.
I do think it was pretty awesome that Darling was trying to make the save with his glove hand while it was zooming past his blocker shoulder.

I think Hartley wants him out there once we have possession, he doesn't want to waste a Gaudreau shift in OT while the other team just keeps the puck till he's off.

Upper body injury (obviously his hand).
Didn't return after the first. Doesn't look good to me.
Looks like a finger tho which tend to heal faster than other parts of the hand/wrist.

Dear Goal Posts,
I offer you fine wine if you allow all the pucks in Ramo’s net and keep them out of Darling’s net.

yay first coaches challenge that totally won't work

Definatly restricted him from making the save. Not goalie interference though. Incidental.
Hartley tries it instead

And I thought Quenneville's challenge was horrible. He wasn't touched...

Good goal. That was actually a good challenge by Hartley.

Blackhawks decided to give away the puck three times in OT about 3 feet from their own net. Gaudreau scores a beauty on the 3rd one.
What a joke from the Blackhawks in that OT period.

Congrats to the Flames on their Cup win.

Well, it's 3on3. Flames use two guys on D and one forward. Gaudreau isn't going to start because he isn't going to go out there and take the faceoff.

Near the end of the 3rd, also that deke that left Keith standing still facing the wrong way.

Some Thoughts:
-one of the best periods (3rd) if not full-games all season. Much more energy and guys buzzing around, keeping their feet moving to chase pucks in the offensive zone. It's starting to look more like the hard-working team we remember.
-speaking of keeping feet moving, I thought Raymond did a good job of this and had a pretty decent game overall.
-man is that ice terrible. I'm growing increasingly annoyed by it because we finally have an up-tempo, skilled, fast team that can toss the puck around. The players are constantly having to corral the puck and are sometimes unable to finish nice passing plays because the puck jumps over sticks.
-also, I'm just waiting for the bad ice to cause an injury. Gio went head-first into the boards on that one play at their blue-line. I don't think he does that on purpose..at least, I hope not...
-with respect to Gio, I think he needs to actually do less right now. It's almost like he's trying TOO hard to be the same player from last year. As a result, he's rushing plays, making un-Gio-like decisions (especially ill-timed pinches) and getting caught up-ice. Maybe if he slows down a bit, he'll get some of his timing back.
-Love Colborne's game right now. And Ferland bodying guys off the puck on the forecheck is something I could watch all day. Hope it continues.
-shoot, Johnny, shoot!
-Matt Stajan is underrated.

Hopefully it isn't too bad. The defence is just starting to come around so it would be a shame if it was long term. Thankfully we are pretty deep at that position.

Dominating the Blackhawks. What a great way to turn the season around. This is the perfect time to end the Honda center curse.
