You know I guess this isn't that surprising coming from the guy who once read Hitler speeches as inspiration.

I likle how Trump never actually commits to doing anything. Except for all the things he's going to do.

Not to Godwin this, but "special identification identifying their faith" sounds a lot like the Nazis forcing Jews to sew yellow stars on their clothing. Is it really Godwinning if the comparison is apt, though?

Oh Adolf Trump has actually now committed to it. When did he lose his mother ####ing mind?

Donald Trump "would certainly implement" a database system tracking Muslims in the United States, the Republican front-runner told NBC News on Thursday night.
"I would certainly implement that. Absolutely," Trump said in Newton, Iowa, in between campaign town halls.
"There should be a lot of systems, beyond databases," he added. "We should have a lot of systems."
When asked whether Muslims would be legally obligated to sign into the database, Trump responded, "They have to be — they have to be."

If the GOP win this election then the terrorists have won. The comments coming out of these candidates mouths are just awful. Beyond awful. And that some are lapping it up is even more disgusting. The GOP is making a better recruitment video than ISIS could ever hope to do.
And ISIS knows this hence the FAKE passports of the Paris attackers. They knew it would be all over the news the easily susceptible would buy it hook line and sinker. And they did. Ask the common person in this country right now and I bet you that most will tell you that the attackers had Syrian passports rather than the EU passports they held because they were EU nationals.

Several Republicans are proposing outright blocking of Muslim Syrian refugees and waving through the Chriatian ones. Decades of hate radio and Fox News have produced a GOP frontrunner who is proposing the use of Nazi doctrine and who's numbers are getting a boost because of it. If Americans are that gullible, that uneducated and that ignorant, I could see the GOP in the White House a year from now riding a wave of hate, fear, and bigotry. The stupidity of Americans on this issue is off the charts. And it was 100% predictable.

The further right they get, and damn they can't get more right at this point, the more they lose the independents. They may get an uptick from registered republicans but the independents will not stand for it. I hope. I really really hope.

Soon you will be hearing chants of Seig Heil during the pauses between Trump's moronic talking points. This thread has veered irrevocably into the Godwin zone, thanks to Trump. Only Jeb Bush has called him on it among all the GOP candidates. Jeb frikkin Bush...the voice of reason..holy crap.

Not shocking Bush called him out. Bush, Christie, and Kasich are the closest to moderate you can get in this field of candidate (and Pataki who until this chart I didn't even know was running). This pull to the right to gain a nomination is will hurt the GOP in the ling run. Again, I hope. So far Bush, Kasich and Cruz have called him out on it...but it took them waaaaay too long to do so IMO. Paul's spokeperson also denounced them though you'd think a candidate might want to denounce these one in person rather than let the campaign do it for them. Meanwhile, knowing that establishment candidates are having a hard time in this GOP race they are trying really hard to draft Romney. Romney wants nothing to do with it and it is way too late to jump into the race now. The establishment will not be behind Trump or Carson IMO. They want nothing to do with them and certainly the independents shouldn't want anything to do with them.

I was going to say; Kasich has very directly called him out and somewhat less directly suggested that he simply isn't capable of doing the job of President. That's pretty strong condemnation.
PS I love how Trump doesn't even manage to fit anywhere on the chart.

I think Americans are better than some of you think, and this will end up destroying Trump's campaign. Less likely, but still possible, maybe this will get people to start thinking rationally about the threat of terrorism, which is far more minuscule than the threat of slipping and hurting yourself in the shower.

Bush is one of the candidates proposing letting only Christians into the country, so he's spouting almost the same garbage as Trump, just avoiding the obvious brown shirted National Socialist taint. So no voice of reason here.

Unfortunately Kasich also said he'd set up a GOVERNMENT agency to promote Judeo-Christian values around the world.
And Bush also said they should screen the refugees and let the Christian ones as they have no place in Syria anymore. Pretty sure that's the same reason the other refugees have left Syria as well...no place for them. They want to live in peace and practice their religion peacefully and freely. They aren't allowed to.
So yes they called Trump out, but they also have said enough that they too should feel complete shame.
And then you have Carson comparing Syrian refugees to rabid dogs and how if you saw a rabid dog you would probably make your kids stay inside.
It is BEYOND disgusting. If any of these IDIOTS get anything but blown out of the water on election day I will have to seriously consider moving.

I missed that - did he say that during this campaign? I always wonder about crap like that, if it's just fluff to try to score points with a group you need to win, e.g. "ethanol is good for America" for, er, a decade or so.

I really hope this is the case, he basically derails this entire farce of a campaign, hopefully taking the right wing extremes of the party with him. OR, the extremist base in the US actually start rallying more in favor of it and gaining momentum.
If anyone didn't find a Trump presidency frightening before, they certainly should now. Complete insanity.
The Republicans have evolved (or devolved) from somewhat stupid but funny nutjobs to a frightening base of fascists.

Gee, I wonder how extremists and Jihadis will react when America starts institutionalized discrimination against muslims.
If Trump wins, I highly doubt I would ever visit downtown LA/Hollywood ever again. No doubt in my mind Jihadis will shift their focus to the large cities of the USA.
